Probably with next tuesday's patchnotes some fixes for the weapons will come, along with the addition of adding the currently impossible to add weapons, hopefully
Tho i don't know if Jagex will change the combat style of weapons ever.
Possibly not this week I'm afraid - I've added about 30-40 items that QA still need to check. It all depends whether they get chance to look at it before the next update happens.

If I keepsake a hexhunter bow, which is still a shieldbow for some reason, will it only override another shieldbow such as the dark bow, or will it also override bows such as zaryte? It's too bad the new level 90 range weapons are crossbows but I might still be able to find a few uses for zaryte if it works. I would hate to waste a lot of time hunting for another hex.
It will override both shortbows and shieldbows.

Damn. In that case, may I ask why Orbs and Books are treated separately? The animations are the same and the higher tier Magic offhands are Books as opposed to Orbs (whereas in dungeoneering Orbs are the highest).
Bringing this back
This was a previous design decision to separate them into two categories. I'm sure we'll see more books and orbs added in future updates to expand the selection though.

I would very much like this because i have drygore long sword for the main hand, and a drygore mace for off-hand, which means i can't use a Rubber Chicken as an override at all right now.
I am sure many of us would appreciate an off-hand version.

Do bows override all bows?
for example, if I put my exquicite bow (shortbow) into the keepsake, will I be able to let it Override a shieldbow?
Also the otherway around; If I were to add a Shieldbow (Sagattarian longbow) into a keepsake key, would it override a shortbow (Crystal bow)?
