Personally I was happy that they had a rate of 2x the entire weekend.
However, I was unhappy that I was unable to even log in for most of the event. Even after trying multiple worlds, reloading the page, clearing my cookies, I still couldn't get in.
I had plans of training to a certain point but was unable to do so due to log in "errors". It would have been possible for regular bonus experience weekend, so no, I didn't over accumulate supplies.
All-in-all, thank you for the flat 2x multiplier...but the frustration was near unbearable. If I had to go 'afk' for over five minutes there goes another FOUR-SIX hours of trying to log in - no exaggeration. Almost feel as though we would have been better off with the 'regular' bonus exp and being able to log in.

Even though the lag was god awful, I decided to make the best of it. I hunkered down and did a skill that costs a lot of gp. In doing so, even though it took twice the time to do it, the cost was half price. So the 17 mil I spent, I save another 17 mil. In this I was thankful.
Suggestion for times to come. I have played games that gave you double xp for a random hour on random worlds. In the corner of the screen a x2 would appear and you got twice the xp, or a 2gp would appear and all drops that were not rare or above would double. Don't know if this is possible with runescape, but maybe unannounced bonus's would be nice in the future so bots can't set their timers to come on and lag the crap out of the game.
Thanks for trying. I am sure the lag was nothing of a surprise to jagex. When we are beggars, we can't be choosy right?

I'd like to say thank you for the bonus xp weekend but I feel like I was ripped off. The lag was horrible, I feel I would have gained more exp on a normal day without lag because I move faster. Something HAS to be done about the bots also. I wanted to cut magic trees to make money but thats impossible to do with bots in every world. This weekend I decided to train my hunting as I was less than 500k from 99. In the past I've trained my hunting by trapping red chins but that has now become impossible also because of bots. I moved on to catching imps in Puro-Puro and up until this weekend I've been very pleased. I'm not on rs a lot but I normally catch 2-3 dragon or kingly imps a day. This weekend Puro-Puro was full of bots in every single world, over the whole weekend I was only able to catch one dragon imp, that's it. So now I've moved on from cutting magic trees, moved on from hunting red chins and if the bots stick around I'm going to have to move on from hunting imps. This hardly seems fair since I pay to play rs and can't do what I wish. I don't understand why something isn't done about bots, it's sooooooo clear how many of them there are and everyone complains about them daily, so just friggin fix it. Is so annoying and unfair.

now reduce the lag and roll out bot watch more wide spread bc that is what is truly hurting the game, its not the lack of new updates to sof and soloman that is supposed to fund these things but infact the bots that we hate the most.

Level of devotion? Must be a joke, like the Halloween event this year.
Almost every player I saw while logged in was a bot.
I don't have any complaints as an F2P getting 1.2x EXP. I also didn't have any issues with lag. But I can confidently say RS is 80% bots, so why bother?
Also, bot nukes are useless. Bots/scripts just keep evolving every time Jagex attempts to do anything. Don't discontinue random events, bring them back, too.

while I was annoyed that I couldn't log in for almost 2 hours, it was not the end of the world. acknowledging these issues and taking steps in the future to prevent them from recurring goes a long way to show how much you all appreciate your fans. shame I wasn't able to powerlevel like I was hoping but I certainly won't lose any sleep over it. Thanks again for being proactive with your customer support.

mods maybe if there is a next time for this so that 200k are not trying to log on at same time, have one weekend for members and than one weekend for free players so that maybe there will only be 100k on each weekend trying to log on even after you upgrade everything this might help the lag
