I hate that Jagex is pushing these member card offers, the SoF, and SGS so hard...
WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE LOYALTY PROGRAMME?
Honestly, if Jagex would agree with me when I say instead of these offers put more things into the Loyalty Programme. This way people will have a reason to stay members and play this game. They'll have more members and a happier community. More members and longer subscriptions = more money. But Jagex is trying to build that same potential money with these offers. Then again, SoF, SGS, and member cards were brought in to make up the loss they experienced from the Bot Nuke (hoping the game would become a better one, haha so much for that).
These membership card offers, SoF, and SGS are making people quit this game and cancelling their subscriptions. Why? Because before, you didn't have to pay money to get the satisfaction of wielding a 'super new and awesome sword' yet Jagex continues to do it saying that they're trying to build funds to make a better game... and they also think that it is not a big deal they're losing players from these things... it is.
I find myself logging in for 2 minutes max every day, just to get my daily spins on the SoF, hoping to get something good so it can make me have a reason to play. Is this what this game has come to?
I will get my 10 year vet cape in 1-2 years time and I find myself barely playing this game anymore. I'm only 100cb and total lv is high 1600s. I would be a lot higher but my love for the spirit of this game is disappearing. I find myself taking periodic breaks from this game, and its getting more frequent, thus my account is not seeing serious development nowadays.
I will not get this mask, but I will continue to play, and I hope I find the reason to play often once again. I hope that Jagex somehow goes back to their roots and climbs out of the hole they dug for themselves.
