They will suck every last penny they can from you. Game cards cost more than recurring memberships, so YOU ARE PAYING FOR INGAME ITEMS WITH REAL WORLD MONEY. Same as SOF and SGS. It's all about thow much MONEY you will pay them on top of your subscription.
RS used to be about playable content. IVP$cape/BOT$cape obviously is not. Graphic overhauls are NOT playable content.

Its like no one at Jagex is listening to us. WE DON"T WANT TO PAY EXTRA FOR THIS SMALL CONTENT!!!!
Memebers who pay monthly with theirr cc don't want to pay more for a 90 day card. They understand how the billing works. You at jagex refude to understand that they will not pay more. Its that simple.
Also, many of us have purchased 90 day cards in the last few days, weeks. You tell us simply, "buy another".
I ask you this, "where do I come up with $25?".
I've been playing this game since 2003 and in all that time I have had reasons to be embarrassed. I'm 44 yrs old and play a kids game. But, today you succeeded in making me the fool.
Jagex/Runescape, as the American expression goes, "This game has jumped the shark".
Look up the American t.v. show Happy Days to understand this reference.
Epic fail of epic proportions.

LOL so if i buy a 90 day game card i get a free gift but if i pay month after month on a cc i get the ? lols from a jmod .
Way to reward your loyal customers jagex.

As for everyone's questions regarding recurring membership if you pay automatically each month via card you can simply add the game card to the account and what that will do is freeze the recurring payments, then resume once again at the end of the game card's time. "
here's the gripe as seen in many other questions from those with recurring memberships.

Why don't you let the players that pay online get the mask too? Why do I have to drive half an hour to get to a gamestop to pick up the card? Not to mention the fact that reoccurring online membership payers get screwed over time and time again because you value physical game cards used by new players than the players that have been paying monthly subscriptions for the last few years.

I was too lazy to read through the whole thread, so I dunno if this was mentioned yet...
Those of us who have 'recurring' membership, WE get loyalty points used to purchase IN-GAME items.. Far better than some cosmetic thingamajig...

This is absolutely UNFAIR to treat your most loyal members in such a way. When we pay by cc just to make sure we don't miss a beat. I am ashamed and no longer want to encourage friends/family to even think of joining the RuneScape community now.
This kind of thing needs to be changed or you will as the saying goes....Shoot yourself in the foot.

Dear Jagex,
I have an idea.
Why don't you just give this as a gift to everyone who stays, or becomes a member this week? Or maybe, if that gives you the same problems as with the sizzling summer rewards (the many people that complained about not getting the rewards), just let members get it for free from Diango this week?
This way, everyone that is a member, new or old, gets rewarded, and f2p players will have another reason to become member. Isn't that a win-win situation for everyone? Because the current solution you have isn't really helping anyone, you might have some people buying game cards, some members will quit in rage. Because, you basically ***** them over (excuse my language).
Can a jmod please answer to this, and give me a clear answer to wether this might be a good alternative? Because i really LOVE cosmetic items, just love it to show off stuff that not everyone has. But i will NOT go and buy a game card while i recently bought a 6 month subscription.
