If you need some lore to explain why we all have free exp coming from apparently nowhere this summer, how about this:
*(Spoiler Alert, people)*
Year 169 of the Fifth age of Gielnor. Following the Ritual of Rejuvination, the Stone of Jas is teleported to an unknown location to keep it safe.
Meanwhile
Year 2012 of the Second age of Earth. Some disgruntled Jagex employees arrive at work in the morning, only to find a massive stone has appeared in one of their meeting rooms. They promptly put a vacuum to the thing and drain it of all of its power, before packaging it in lamps and using it to promote Runescape membership.

Definitely putting my 1m xp into Summoning at the end of Sept. With a little bit of training afterwards I'll go from 70 - 80!

It's more likely to be your note hasn't arrived yet. As long as you did renew your membership the same day you will get your item. Don't panic.

Does it count if you were a member through august than, your membership was up for renewal, and you were a non member for a few hours while the purchase was completing because mines reacurring membership, but i'm affraid i didn't get it still:/
