Also, do we get a note if for some reason we haven't been successful. I should get mine eventually but just in case I don't is there some kind of "Unlucky you have not been successful but keep your subscription active ........." note. I did look at the forum but I wasn't able to find an answer to this question of mine.

jagex have had some technical problems getting the noted distributed to all the eligible players. but just be patient you're exp will be delivered to you're account in a hour so at the maximum----

I just logged in at revs and saw it in my inventory, i got killed seconds later, is there a way that i can claim it back from somewhere? I've been waiting for this xp for a while and i think its unfair i didn't get to use it... thanks.
I think you should have put it in our banks not our inventories...
