One good thing, MMG hasn't been as ignorant of player intelligence as he was in his first SoF post some six months ago.
Which brings us to, two posts in 6 months.
Obviously MMG thinks nothing of SoF and its impact on players.
And finally, for this post anyhow, why is it that MMG is the only Jagexian that can say anything?
Jagex is a one man show? It sheds some light on MMG's management style.
SoF is money at any price. And it pains me to have to go through this rigmarole to get SoF sorted. Not like it's the first, or last, time that greed has whispered.
Guess I'll have to keep on doing the right thing until Jagex does.

The irony is that anyone who wants to "buy their success" is going to buy gold from third parties, rather than "get a chance" at getting something from the wheel. If anything, the wheel MIGHT deter your typical cheater from patronizing a third party.
I honestly find it more laughable that people aren't raging against the people who are already cheating rather than the wheel. If anything, it's going to encourage people to cheat.

awesome mmg. im more angry after reading you attempt at an explanation to it. You did nothing to address the real problems behind it all you did was gloss over it and state why you had to do it. Given i think you did better years ago with less to work with then you have recently. And if you really wanted us to believe it you should of thought about it before all your integrity went away earlier this year.
I no longer trust any thing that jagex says they have changed the fundamentals this game was built on for what? crappier content less content. And stop with the promotions week after week it would not be so bad if it wasnt shoved in my face day end and day out.
In short good luck mmg you will need it to save face seeing as all the integrity you ever had is at the bottom of a ditch somewhere along with the fundamentals that this game was founded on. Good luck indeed.

Tell me please...how is paying you rl money and recieving gp and gold in return not selling gold and exp?
It doesn't matter what the amounts are,big or small, it's selling gp and exp.

Even your ethically challenged team of lawyers can't dispute that.

I don't understand why you guys can't just be honest with the players. Admit that not as many people are playing as have been the last few years and that extra revenue is needed to keep the game going. Admit that more money than what comes from membership is essential to make up for lost revenue when getting rid of bot accounts.

Hello!
The HTML5 snapshot is amazing! It will look so beautiful on my computer when the improved HTML5 client is released. :)
I have to admit, I was a little worried about the direction in which Runescape was headed after the release of micro-payments, but after reading Mark Gerhard's letter my mind is much more at ease. I know that us players are in good hands. Runescape has come a very long way, and I always love to see the ways in which Runescape continues to change!
