You know what, enough with the hate comments, atleast we are getting our questions anwsered and getting future updates that do not revolves around SoF or Solomon's store, If they took out these things we would have to pay more every month for membership, and i am sure that for alot of people, their parents pay their membership and would not like to see an extra expense. Therefore I say that jagex is stepping up ad showing that they care. So we should too by maybe giving some postive feedback that will help the game, saying that "rs is dead" is not going to help anyone, and if this game is going to die it will be beacuse of the narrowminded community refusing to help with the progress of this game.

isn't the combination of sof and cashing out unwanted item the same as selling gold into the game? I could buy lots of spins, cash all items, and have "bought" gold from jagex!!! (the very thing you say you won't do!!!!) come on guys!! On the bright side you planned bot nuc is a big step in the right direction!! Your got some before and have a lot to go, keep working on that!!! As for paying for the game--thats what membership payments are suppose to do, why do we need to pay membership and still have you sell gold to let someone who has money to blow, take advantage of shortcuts ion the game??
Anyways I still enjoy the game--just think you should listen to members who pay for , instead of trying to justify the bad choices make in the recent past.

This is a mistake I have often seen. Even *I* have been guilty of this on occasion!


You want the penguin to go SE. You decide to stand East of it. NE is the direction you least desire it to go (maybe Miss Ele is that way)!

I would like to ask if Runescape will end micro-transactions one day and return to the normal Runescape it once was?
And would the Jagex team ever consider making a highly-requested 2006 server so all those players you might loose to RS2006 would return to the real Runescape, and be satisfied? I would very happily return to paying membership If you made a 2006 server.

One more point I wanted to make, that doesn't really fit in with the above, is that one of the worst parts of SoF and SGS is that, while optional, they don't FEEL optional. An optional feature shouldn't pop up in a little window I have to close everyday; it shouldn't be part of the toolbar; it shouldn't have an annoying flash effect until I deal with it on log-in. If it's optional, reduce emphasis on it. Using an optional feature should take more involvement from those that want to use it, not require involvement to avoid it.

I actually rarely post on forums because I know for sure that posting my thoughts won't change anything and all the time spent writing'em is a waste.
I've been playing runescape on and off since 2006. I've seen this game changing over the course of the years. some changes were pretty decent and some were catastrophic.
I'm also taking a game design degree and been passionately following the video games industry since 2005. I've seen different games sink because the developers were selfish in taking big decisions that changed their games forever ignoring costumers feedback, because they really thought it will benefit the game and the company...
Let me give some examples: gears of war. the game was heavily based on close quarters combat using the shotgun and a very steep learning curve. the first game
broke records, stayed for over a year as the most played game over xbox live...
Epic games wanted to milk the cow and released GOW 2 as unfinished product, horrible network code (lag no matter who's hosting or what connection you using) removed the best thing about the multi-player in the first game which is creating lobbies and many bad changes that made many people stop playing the game (thought they paid for GOW2 so epic games still made as much money a before)
GOW 3 they went on and completely messed up the game play by making the game long range heavy and many easy kill, noob friendly weapons... the game multi player died too fast! It was hard to find games 2 months after the game was out... Many unsatisfied costumers and rants on forums...
Now they planing to release another gears but everyone knows that old fans aren't buying it, and epic games desperately trying to communicate with fans and ensuring a big role for the shotgun in game play.
There is a hell lot of other examples like PES which was the most selling soccer game and even Halo reach and silent hill games...
