I think its a war. Seeing in how i went through all of the 140 pages of the forum and there are 5x the amount of people who are angry and not being commented back to unless they say something small. Then i thought of a grand idea. I looked at all the people who posted positively on this forum thread and searched there names. And to my surprise they agree to everything you post no matter what. and its the same people over and over you comment back to.So i believe it is a war.The actual players being forced into something that obviously they don't want and you saying that we are not being forced with pretty words and cover ups to make us believe you. Not all change is for the better.

Well to be honest I'm not too bothered about the solomons store its actually quite well thought out and done, and Squeal of Fortune i'm not too bothered about if its money going to fight the bots.
Improvements that could be made would be swapping the loyalty clothing to the same system as the solomon's gear where it acts as a paint over the actual item.
Also Players should be able to return items at the cost they were bought at but to be replaced with runecoins not irl currency, else the money would just disappear. This allows people to use their free 200 Runecoins to go back and not buy the crappy emote that everyone bought straight away O_o and instead replace it for a weapon paint or ect. This keeps money in the system but also increases the support other players who do not buy coins have for the store.

Hmmm, this seems to me like its mainly lipservice.
However this sound pretty good:
"We know that directly selling gold, XP or even accounts would generate between 10 to 15 times more revenue than Squeal or Solomon’s Store generates combined. However, we simply won’t do it, because we don’t believe it’s the right thing for the long-term health of the game."
But then again isnt SOF mainly a way of selling XP? Arent there loads of illegal goldsellers still operating? Hmmmm...

Selling gold and XP is done indirectly through the Squeal Of Fortune, so that's why I think it should be removed from the game. I'm fine with Solomon's store as it only gives cosmetic items but please just remove the Squeal Of Fortune.

Definitions of war:

as i see it we are under the 4th definition under the definitions of war if i'm not mistaken. Not all change is for the better.

Is it going to fighting the bots though?

Majority as in 51%? And how much of that went to putting runescape on smartv's?
Thats not a feature im interested in for sure.

i disagree with the war statement.
If you had actually checked the forums you would have found I was a huge critic of SOF, however, since Mark has shared with us the reasons I am much happier about the whole thing and support him and jagex completely.
If, SOF is a price I have to pay for no gold farmers and bots then I deem it acceptable and will be happy to put up with it as the lesser of two evils.
