Like I said before. If people have that kind of money... let them support jagex. But yeah, it does break a rule, but it's indirect. People can earn the spins, and still have the same chance as if they bought them. Just not the same number of chances.

EOC crashed the spirit shields and sof items may turn to ash but it doesn't mean that if affect the economy greatly when they released sof items merchers and regular people like me freaked out and what mainly made everything crash and crash hard. EOC just added lighter fluid to the fire. And in EOC weapons specials take time to form and claws can be double wielded to make a bigger special attack which many people don't understand. I hate EOC with a passion.
As for the SoF i know many people that merched and when its release hit they lost a lot and so did many other people. and yes merching has its risks but not high enough to only gain a little percentage back from what they spent.
Not all change is for the better.

"We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape.
ONE OF YOUR OLD RULES THAT U REMOVED

I won't deny you that. SoF did impact the economy with it's release. But so does every item related release. It's to be expected. SoF did it. the ability to buy sets, break em down and resell them did it. The loss of the ability to do that thing on certain items did it. And EoC is gonna do it. Besides you can't actually defend merchants because while I do agree that merching is a valid way of making money, if i'm not mistaken, Jagex has made significant efforts to prevent merching, and have openly opposed it. So it's no surprise if Jagex doesn't care about merchants losing money.

"You would have to be an idiot to buy thousands of spins to get high up in this game.
This might just be me, but who cares if some guy can buy spins and overtake me in the hi-scores? "
Though personally I beleive the impact these things have on the game are not at all insignificant, you guys need to realize alot of people are just angry because of the principal of the thing. Jagex broke their own rule. And since then, they have repeatedly lied about simmalar things. Bankspaces, regardless of opinion, IS an advantage in game. It isnt a game breaking advantage at this point, but they had said there would be no benefits of this type in Solomon's. People are angry because they are being constantly lied to, and the microtransaction system is getting worse with each update. They are saying they will never "directly" sell gold or exp, but you know, before that, they said they would never sell gold or exp at all. The point is that its getting worse, and regardless of what Jagex says (As their words are shallow and hold no power at this point) People are afraid of what things will be like at the bottom of this slipperly hill. Players want to see ACTION being taken to make microtransactions either go away entirely, or at the very least, want to see them get nerfed back into line. Action is the only solution at this point, because no one that actually cares about this will be mollified by pretty words now.
