It is an in game advantage.
I'm glad you can buy it from the loyality shop soon aswell. I bet it wasn't a technically limitation that this wasn't released today, you just wanted people to spend more money first then give it regular paying members after.

adding bank space is not an advantage at all. so what people who buy the more space will only fill it with more stuff they will have to clear out anyway its just a hassle how many items do you need especially since they stack i think it would be more of a hassle to have 250 more items in my bank that i don't even use and they are updating other things just look at the behind the scene for this month people just need to stop complaining. if your that worried about an advantage for backspace its only 40 bucks that's not much and i have no money. i support this update and also like the sof and sgs updates it is a company that makes money and until they come out with something that actually gives an advantage (GP, weapons, armor, ex..) i will continue to give support.

Just tell us how it is and why you're doing what you're doing. No simply-not-trues or other dismissals, no empty assurances (cashing in on faith while trying to rebuild it is stupid). Hell, it's best if you don't try to defend yourself. Just explain yourself; tell us why you need MTX, tell us of the updates that they'll let you do (not the "great, amazing updates" with an intentionally vague description or teaser sentence, either, just explain the damn content, tell us what it's about and what we'll get out of it), and ask us to understand you. Extend a hand; most of us will slap it away (in case you haven't noticed, people are PO'ed), but the rest will at least appreciate the gesture.

THIS. Well said.

i agree with what your saying about if jagex told poeple the truth about these updates.
if jagex released a newspost saying something like
"we are introducing solomons store, all the rewards will be purely cosmetic and the revenue it generates will be used to aid development of (eg a new skill or another grandmaster quest or some new challenging bosses)"
then alot less poeple would get annoyed with jagex.

-a question for jagex-
do you make more money from subscribers or rwt?, because quite a lot of poeple are losing faith in the suvival of the game. if jagex are at a point where they need micro transactions to be able to develop new content then i dont think the game will last long.
sof/solomon (instead of content updates) > a few poeple quit > less money for jagex > less content updates > more poeple quit. etc, etc, etc. until, hardly any subscribers > no new content > EVERYONE QUITS > END OF RUNESCAPE

O FOR **** SAKE! This is it... the top of the glass... what the hell are you thinking? Are you Jagex really trying to ruin the game? I have seen bad updates and all, but this is becoming just cynical, One fail update after another¡ COMMON!!!
Stupid ****, thats why you were selling those discounted 3 month membership? to ensure some players to be even with your dumbest updates?
Really JAGEX, you have pushed this way to far, what´* next? increasing gp rates for stupid Solomon customers?
I see a riot comming keep it up losing your player´s support you money hungry morons.

Seems like the "New" Jagex is taking the Zynga approach to games - Charge the player for the items they want. Sorta thought my membership fees covered that...
BTW take a look in the news - Zynga's stock is crashing and its executives are bailing...
