And yet, as one of the Jmods that posted on this thread has said, they are going to release something super large within the next couple of months (an announcement of what will be soon), that doesn't have anything to do with microtransactions.
One super large update would make up for a host of microtransactions. Not all updates have to be good - but several great ones, allowed for by the use of these transactions, would easily justify their continued existence.

instead of working on updates that people don't want, how about getting rid of the bots?
Here's an idea to do it, log into any world, go to mining guild, gwd, ect.. and just start banning these accounts.

@Hank Rearden how many GOOD updates have you seen since IVPex took over it's definitely not enough to count on one hand that's for damn sure. too busy trying to squeeze more money out of this game and make it as noob friendly as possible, oh kids can drain 200$ from their parents cards a day? better change our rules to make that perfectly legal. remember guys "its not rwt if we do it" rank 501 clues btw lul

A slippery slope argument is a type of logical fallacy. Seems no one realizes that it isn't valid.
Just because A leads to B does not mean you can conclude that B will lead to C.

I'm pretty sure this does give an in game advantage. It means people have to spend less time organising and removing stuff from their bank and instead they spend this time gaining xp or gp.

1) Upcoming combat update.
2) New Quests have all be fairly decent.
3) Runespan.
4) QBD.
Just to name a few. If microtransactions will allow more of these type of things? So be it.
