Really everyone, this is insane. I think those of us who like this update are getting drowned out. I only came on here to see if we knew when the loylaty thing would be, though I'll probably buy space anyway, not that I use my points much...
Especially if you've been a member for a long time, RuneScape is NOT expensive. For our membership we get a lot, when you think about it. It's a big game. We have lots of items, lots of skills and big banks to hold it all. We have a lot of quests and big bosses to go get ourselves killed at. We have a vast number of servers. We have a lot of J-Mods looking after us (with varying degrees of success, I'll admit).
Those of us who pack everything in and want to keep it must sacrifice somewhere - either by clearing out some of our treasures (holy table napkins, empty boxes, L1 seeds even though we have 95 farming...) or by getting membership back in the days of being F2P with nowhere to put ones stuff. Now, how is being able to get some space for either being loyal or paying a small one-off payment bad? I'll admit I don't earn a vast amount, but I think even the worst off of us could scrape it up if we want space that badly. If you don't, then don't. It's not like anyone's forcing it on you.
The one thing I wish they weren't doing is the combat thing, but I'm not on here ranting about it. I'm enjoying the game as it is, then I'll adjust. MMO's change and grow, and the bigger they get, the more they cost. If you don't want to pay for convenience, you don't have to, but if that's how you feel why are you a member? It's more convenient to train F2P skills on P2P, and you're paying for it.
