I hope you get all the way to this end of the thread, I know it must be a tough read at times, thank you for the input and replies you've posted thus far.
Can I ask, did anyone at Jagex really think that this (buyable bank space) update would be well received by your player base?
I have defended the introduction of Solomon's Store thus far, I like the cosmetic items and emotes, I don't *need* them and I don't mind paying for them.
I think this update is underhanded and people are responding to it as such. New and useful items are being released fairly regularly. In the past the increase in the number of useful items has been offset by occasional bank increases. This makes it look like you're going to keep releasing more stuff and then insist that we buy the space to store it.
You say this offers no in game advantage but this is short sighted - obviously the advantage doesn't correlate directly to experience gain but extra space means not throwing away items that you may then need to waste time retrieving in the future.
You call it a convenience - in real world terms: time is money, in RuneScape time is experience and convenience is time.
Buying these spaces with loyalty points is ultimately no better as it indirectly puts players at a disadvantage by potentially making them wait longer to accrue enough points to purchase buffs which provide direct benefits.
If your customers hate this why do it?

ive been reading through the comments in general and man thats a lot of critisism you have to deal with. Hang in there.
For the update itself i'm glad you chose quickly to add it to the loyalty shop as well, seems more fair to what you're offering in the first place. (Though the timing is a little money suck*, also im wondering if the loyalty bank slots stack with the 5 money ones)
I know you guys prefer constructive feedback, so i'll make sure that will be the case
I see a lot of people complaining about the extra bank space and I wonder.. have they ever realized that the bank space in itself is actually a part of the game as well? if everything would actually be unlimited, people would get pretty tired of hoarding. I remember the days when i just constantly couldn't find anything in my bank for being too messy, still kudos on the sorting!
Also about salomon's shop.. it's nice to see a few skill differences after the years
What im always most concerned about is the distinction between an old and a new player. Of course after the years, all the skills I have obtained have been well.. become quite useless because of the faster pacing of skilling, and grand exchange made the search for resources piece of cake for the nolife grinders.
So the actual only distinction there is , is well.. the veteran cape and the 10 year cape (im close! half a year to go!

In salomon's shop i would love to see that the "classic" way of smithing for example would be available for the old players (like 7/10+ yr).
That would make a fun, braggable distinction which doesn't give any advantages in the game.
Would this ever be considered?
also i see a lot of discussion about the squal of fortune.. to that i just have to say this.. no you're not selling gold directly to people , thanks for that, but im not sure if selling gambe spins for possible gold to kids is more ethical. consider removing please.

@All the whiners, complainers and haters
If you really, really are gonna whine, complain and hate on this kind of update so much then do everyone a favor and leave.
This is one update that I find intresting and one that I would gladly pay money for to get more bank space from using Runecoins.
I don't know how many Runecoins it'll cost me per +50 bank spaces, but I sure will make sure to buy more using an Ultimate Game Card.
EDIT: Also read that you'll be adding this into the loyalty shop within 1-2 weeks so that will be good as well incase someone can't buy it with Runecoins.
