The bank spaces are too expensive, so in theory the loyalty point cost is going to be ridiculously more to persuade us to purchase with cash instead. I'm not against buying the bank spaces, I purchased 50 a few seconds ago, but with all the cosmetics we are receiving via the wheel, 50 just isn't enough, nor am I willing to spend $40 dollars on such a limited service to buy them all. I think they should be 200 runecoins for 50. That's $4.99 and every member who didn't spend their free coins gets an extra 50 bank spaces.
And this argument that 'you' are 'not' selling gold is ridiculous, Jagex. Of course you are, the only valid point to your argument is that it isn't instant or an amount guaranteed. That's a more sneaky and rule bending of a way to get around what it is you are doing and your intent.
Your 'statements' just make the vocal majority more angry so might as well skip the lengthy explanation. They just pick it apart anyway. If its making you enough money to end the player to player rwt'ing, gold farming and bots, then so be it, keep the thing, but don't dance around the obvious. I think if you were to say hey guys we need the money really bad right now, the players couldn't argue too much with that.
I was completely against the wheel until I had my own epiphany about what the real reason behind why Jagex turned to investors and then I felt sorry for you. We all assume it was so you could get bigger, but what if it was really to keep you from going under? So I reserved my opinions.
tl:dr Bank spaces too expensive. Just be honest about the wheel, that'll shut them up.
