I wonder if Drebin's statement is as reliable as this one:
We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape.

Mod Drebin, would it not have been possible to give all current members a free 50+ item booster as a reward for having subscribed this month, and then the other 4 must be paid for? This would have been a better compromise I feel.

Guys, remember that Bank space is not an in game advantage. Members already have a massive amount of bank space and could easily get the same amount of XP per hour as someone with more bank space. This is more of a convenience item.
