I don't like squeel and solomon. Those microtransactions DO give an ingame advantage. Please stop denying that it doesn't..
Also, please stop flooding us with those new items, emotes, titles,.. The mayority of the players don't like them. Doesn't that say enough? :(

"Time Played: 174 days 21 hours
That's how long I stayed dedicated to this ******* game. 4.2k Hours, spent working for everything I own. This past year has very been difficult for my IRL. There's been times were I can't even afford a RuneScape Membership, family issues, Money problems job loss. You have to understand **** like this is just a huge slap to the face for the players like I. That spent 174 days 21 hours working to achieve the best they can on this ******* Game. JaGeX is really pathetic trying to rob people like I for simple **** like this. Thanks to this I will not be buying Membership next month, and my brother/cousin won't be either. I know this doesn't mean **** to all of you money hungry ***** that call yourself helpful to this community, you know who you are. But with passion I strongly suggest you think about what you're doing before you update the game like this. I guarentee Jagex won't even read this, or if they do they will have nothing too say. But they are a sellout piece of **** company now. We all had faith in you, and you just took our faith and smashed it against the ******* sidewalk. This is not the end, this is just the begging. I can't wait until you go to far where its just me my brother and cousin are leaving. But more than this. All i'm asking is for a reason why you're doing this. You ******* owe me that. I spent 174 days 21 hours on this game. And 30 seconds of one of your time can't hurt.

All I have to say is said like a true gentleman.
I for one have played 257 days and 10 hours in-game and that's just too much time to leave for me I guess. I'll be gone if they keep it up, that's for sure. I already play very rarely enough as it is now, and I only bought membership to try the EoC (which was sorta a disappointment for me)

can't say i saw that coming "The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate. Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope. Yet, the Arcana is the means by which all is revealed.

I currently have 556 bank spaces. With everything deposited, I currently have 5 spaces remaining. While some of these spaces contain essential items (my dragon hatchet, pure essence, a cannon, various seeds, various ore placeholders, and my granite armor, to name a few), many spaces are taken up by useless items or items for quests I've either yet to finish or have finished and don't use (ogre bellows, pie shells, Gianne's cook book, a cape, four stacks of flowers, a cabbage, a broken staff, etc.). I could probably easily halve my occupied bank space with a good old-fashioned bank sale, or by simply upturning everything into the GE. I, however, haven't gotten around to it, so my bank sits there.
Having the ability to purchase more bank spaces is nice, even though I never intend to. Being able to spend Loyalty Points to do so is a very appreciated thought on their part.
The biggest problem I'm seeing about this is that everyone who has posted on here so far (which doesn't even make up 1% of online players, let alone total players) seems to think Jagex has violated their promises. More bank spaces does not equal real-world trading, nor does it equal an in-game advantage. I have a full bank, and I don't feel at a disadvantage. On those rare occasions that I actually clean out my bank, I don't feel more advantaged or successful for having tons of room. It does give me more room to store items I can sell, but then again, until I sell them, my bank is full. Instead of selling everything now, I can pay money to sell everything later. Nothing in this feels like RS is betraying me in any way.
Also, it's just bank space. Jagex is trying something new. It's not like they're really selling gp or XP. I love the Squeal of Fortune - I get free spins and free items for remembering to log in every day. While buying spins may net me some cooler items quicker, there's nothing there that I couldn't get in-game with a little work.
In short, deep breath everyone. It's just a game.

I read that buyable bank space was voted on a FEW YEARS BACK by the players which i think is ridiculous that they respond to it now.
Buyable bank space isnt a bad idea because there are people who really need it and im sure some people are happy but if it is true that your responding to a vote a few years ago thats just bad jagex. please try to take care of your players quicker then what you think you can do. Always try to put in that extra effort for your customers.
On another note this f2p stuff is getting worse. Ive played opn multiple accounts ffor 8 years and the f2p is getting worse every day. i can only buy or sell 50 items in the grand exchange what is that? i used to be able to buy and sell however muuch i wanted and now its just bad. Might as well takje away varrock for f2p players too. This is just making you lose players jagex try to think smarter and people wont complain as much.

So, and this is just a shot in the dark, but I'm guessing we'll not be getting more bankspace in future updates unless we pay for it?
Despite the mods protestation that this is purely a clutterbugs toy; It does represent an advantage. Additional bankspace means more flexibility, which will give those who choose to pay a distinct advantage over the long haul.
Disappointing.

You got it. The message here is: any updates that we develop from here on out (developed by staff paid for by your subscription dollars, mind you) that we deem "non-game changing" will only be available if you agree to shell out extra cash for them.
More rooms in your house? Oh, that's not a game-changer, $5 please.
A new room in your POH to store all your weapons? That doesn't effect in-game activities, $10 please.
Ticket to a new mini-game that just may happen to reward an XP boost, cash, items, etc., but since it's random, you're not REALLY buying it directly, so it's not really buying XP or items. $10 please.
The list is endless. Runescape turned a corner here that they were really only peeking around with Squeal of Fortune. Now they're barreling down the street with that big sack with a "$" on it and bill's flying out the top.

It's about what I figure. A pity; I've watched my bankspace expand and expand over the years. Sometimes, bank expansions couldn't come soon enough for the active quester, but then I also remember when only one person could talk to a bank clerk at a time, to give you an idea of how far back I go.
I still have my 200 Runecoins. I am aware they will expire in time, but I simply don't give enough of an Ugthanki Dung to spend them. Unfortunately, this is an inexorable process from here on in - if it proves to generate more revenue in the short term, the investors will demand more of it, and damn the long term.
Meanwhile, I can walk into the Taverley Dungeon, squeeze through the first pipe and find a room full of bots, or go to LRC, or Pisca, or any agility course (though I can understand that, because that skill actually hurts to train). I can go to the GE on pretty much any world and find some gold sellers and gamblers instantly.
Here's an update idea for you Jagex, fixes two problems at once; Make Mithril Seeds that create specific colours. Make it indistinguishable in use from normal ones. Oh look, no more H/C, because it's easy for the dealer to ***** the players, reduced RWT and decreased incentive to bot.
