why do you put this in, i would rather pay a few dollars more rather than more sof and solomon stuff who actually buy this stuff
We want to give people options on how they choose to support RuneScape. Though some people would prefer to pay more for membership, some people much prefer buying the occasional optional cosmetic items or lucky-dip prizes from the SoF. Some people prefer not to spend any money and not to buy membership! The purchases directly go towards the development of the game, the same way an increased membership fee would, except without it being a requirement for anyone.
When someone buys content from Solomon's General Store, they are supporting the game in a very direct manner and helping us keep the membership cost at its current level.

@Mod Timo: Will any of the Squeal of Fortune's cosmetic items be released again at some point in the future? That goes for the Queen's Guard outfit, the Dragon Ceremonial outfit, the beachball, the Sunbathe emote, Shark Fists, and every other temporary cosmetic item.
Not everybody can afford to spend $20+ every time a new Squeal of Fortune promotion comes out, so people are constantly forced to miss out on these promotions due to things that are beyond their control. It would be nice to know that all hope is not yet lost.
