"We want to give people options on how they choose to support RuneScape. Though some people would prefer to pay more for membership, some people much prefer buying the >>occasional optional cosmetic<< items or lucky-dip prizes from the SoF. Some people prefer not to spend any money and not to buy membership! The purchases directly go towards the development of the game, the same way an increased membership fee would, except without it being a requirement for anyone." -Timbo
People are buying spins to get XP lamps, they're paying to get an ingame advantage. Nobody cares if someone wants to spend $200 on a pixelated ice-cream hat, it's those people where the fuss is about. Remove xp lamps and high cash prices from SoF and all is well.
I guess that's not anything new for you, stopping those XP/gp gains would stop a lot of people from "supporting" you.
Buying spins shouldn't let you get 99's, though various youtubers shamelessly told they bought their skills. It makes you doubt the newly maxed people.
Well, it's your game, ruin it at will.
