More useless rubbish designed to make us give you more money... Jagex, can you stop wasting time and resources on SoF and Solomon? Maybe give us some more REAL updates?
Now before anybody objects: I know that anybody who worked on these money updates would be cosmetic-type developers who wouldn't have worked on anything functional in the game. The point is these people could be replaced with developers who make more real updates.
This game has just gone downhill since I started... Only now have I felt the need to voice my concerns. Jagex, I will probably not unsubscribe from your game. You're safe there. However, nothing you do can make me buy anything extra from SoF spins to emotes to titles. So whilst you're not losing money from me off these updates, you're certainly not gaining any. It will be different for other people, you're probably gaining money at the rate you're bleeding subscribers. And losing a lot a popularity in the process (but hey, money's all that matters to you).
If you think the people who post angry thoughts here are just the vocal minority, you're partially right. It is the minority of people in runescape who are vocal. That's not to say that the people who dislike these updates are a minority, they're probably just getting on, playing instead of posting their thoughts which you will probably ignore. That's what I have been doing, up until now, but I'm fed up and want all this rubbish to end. Jagex/IVP, stop being so greedy.
If Jagex reads this post they'll probably post something very predictable such as "we appreciate your feedback". It doesn't matter, they won't alter their course. I just wanted to feel like I tried to change things for the better.

I appreciate your reply, however, I am not cynical - I am honest. Anytime a venture capital organization takes over a good company they are after profits. Lots and lots of profits!!
No matter whether they borrow money on the value of the company and give themselves huge bonuses or just strip the company of its assets and sell them off.
I read in one of the financial pages of a major London newspaper that Jagex had gotten a big loan after the Gowers sold out most of their interest in Jagex.
The current owners of Jagex do not seem to be much interested in giving us great game playing opportunities as much as new ways to get our money.
Until the game content changes, I don't think you can convince us that I am being cynical.

I'm utterly ashamed that Jagex is entirely unabashed peddling this ludacris and continuous strain of unsought and erroneous updates!
If Jagex is evening listening, the player base has spoken; and spoken emphatically! Your baseless claims that a simple minority of "vocal" players show distaste with these updates are absurd! A mod said earlier that the players who support these updates are busily enjoying the game and the updates instead of voicing an opinion here on the forumns. You simply couldn't be more wrong; they are not enjoying these new updates, they are enjoying the updates of old while attempting to push the painful recent updates out of their head!
A wise company once stated that "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in (blank)" That company was you. Naturally though you have since discarded this statement in a futile attempt to cover up what you once were, but the charade is now up.
Look Jagex, I understand that you know have corporate interest, and it is a widespread fact the ******* ******* ******** (IVP if this is still censored, sneaky fools) has taken the majority share in your once humble company, but that doesn't mean that they have to dictate your decisions!
It's time to follow the same business model that everybody in the known world adheres too, not the deranged corporate bully who will inevitably be the death of you! Listen to you customers, as they are your most valuable assets! We pay your bills Jagex, not IVP and the sooner you begin to realize that the sooner you can restore your game.
I sometimes feel like your running a police state here, censoring the names of your investors and locking threads with the slightest hint of truth. I hope that my voice can be heard however.

Dangit Jagex/IVP/ Whoever's in charge,
What's the point of Solomons? It does almost EVERYTHING the Loyalty program does and more.
I'm not going to lie, some of those Emotes,teleports, and cosmetic weps look AWESOME, but not when you have to pay Real Money for them. So just PLEASE roll all this crap into the loyalty program.
Ironically, the people (myself included) that bash you for these pointless Solomon updates would LOVE you if you put this in the Loyalty shop since we'd feel like we actually earn rewards for membership, not buy stuff whenever we please.

I was expecting updates today, but all I got was just baloney.
Seriously Jagex, realize! Those IVP pigs are turning your game into a joke. Months ago I was among the ones who thought that RuneScape isn't that much of a laughing stock, since your updates were ALWAYS top-notch quality at the very least. Come IVP, and now you have NOTHING. No appeal, no quality game content, no FIXES! Only stupid moneymaking attempts stuffed into our throats EVERY DAMN WEEK.
Seriously, JamFlex. STOP IT.

Where are the updates that players really want?

Jagex why don't you update the game with new:
Monters
Weapons
Skills
Places to explore
Jagex does not care what the players want and money is the main focus now.
I give up playing Runescape last month and I think it is time for to say goodbye and move on. This will be the last time I post and my final visit to the Runescape website.
TranquilityX ( 2003 - 2012 ) Time to move on.
