HardWay2Hell, that's incorrect. You will still get banned for Real World Trading if you decide to buy gold from external sites/people using real world currency, goods or services. You'll also likely be funding and supporting botters/rule breakers.
Don't do it.

In any other venture, Jagex would be making decent money making decisions as a corporation but when the company was founded on fairness and "Just About the Game EXperience," they set themselves up for failure when they went down this path

Mod timo, what if your offers are overpriced? LOL you're selling gold, you do THAT WHAT YOU SAID WILL NEVER HAPPEN. You changed your rules about RWT after adding squeel of fortune, We dont know what is going on! You should drop away your investors , remove SoF, Salomon store and rebuild your community and game content. Investors are ruining you.

Excellent point mate. Although, of course, not all that revenue they get from SoF is invested into the game.
Either way, its DOES hurt RWT'rs. That's why I always consider all players that are opposed to SoF to be dubious... Some of the most outspoken ones might even be just hiding under the banner of "Being agasint RWT" to hide their own illicit natures.

Many players don't like the reduction in effigies being dropped, and realize it was done most likely so Jagex could sell SoF spins for players to get lamps instead of effigies. What about an item from the SoF which when worn would increase effigy drops or better yet allow pendant drops from monsters, implings, thieving, etc.? Then players could get the drops without it hurting SoF sales, and it would require playing the game to get the effigies or pendants. Hi.
