Sorry Jagex, you're not getting any more money from me than you already do just paying to play your game. I pay to be a member and have membership benefits. That is all. I don't buy spins or Solomon store junk, and I never will. I work too hard for my money, and I refuse to spend it on useless - however cool looking - gear or items in a game.
I can justify paying $5-6 USD a month for a game I play frequently and generally enjoy, but I can't justify paying real money for these things.
I miss the days where you had to actually EARN outfits, emotes, and other extra stuff by doing a quest, random event, or holiday event. Yes, I know we still have these in game, but it seems that the amount of just random, useless stuff being thrown at us (for free or not) is growing exponentially out of control.
Yes it's fun to have these outfits and emotes, but I am NOT paying for them! I'll pay for them in game maybe, or with the Loyalty Programme, which is a result of me paying for membership (which I would be doing anyway, so it's just an extra bonus). But to charge a price for a breakdance emote? Please! Have some respect for your players.

For those people who ask people like me who are complaining, "If you hate it so much, why do you still play?!"
Well, I don't hate the entire game, just certain aspects of it, and the direction in which it's headed.
And I actually did quit for almost a year, then started playing again when I had some free time. I still pay to play because I enjoy the game to a certain extent, and it's a nice way to unwind and get away from the real world, nothing more.

As a veteran player (almost 8 years), I just thought I needed to put my 2 cents in. Whether anyone will read it, who knows.
And by the way, all of this is coming from an adult female, who works 2 jobs, has her own place, and pays all of her own bills.
