About time names were named. Should be a banner running across main page showing those who got banned for reasons of cheating. You do the crime face the time.

I am actually confused with this "benefit of doubt" thing. Seems a bit vague. Anyways, i had hoped to find "bot" also linked to this "news" release, but unfortunately Jagex is busy banning 20 accounts for bug abuse while 10m+ bots continue bossing around. Not impressed. (i shall not cry over spilled milk though!!).

With bots being around for as long as I can remember, this is not a bot incident, but a bug...one that apparently generates ridiculous amounts of GP...I think it's safe to say that this problem takes precedence over a few million bots. Plus, they have a new way to put an end to bots/bug abusers now (or so they say).

I am glad Jagex has done something in order to protect their game in this situation. It is nice to see you do understand the value of the items and gp within the game from a company perspective.
I must ask, when will you view cheating from the opposite end of the spectrum, such as players who have quit for long periods of time and come back to find their bank wiped out? How do you value their hard work in earning their virtual items and gp? So far, all you ever state that it is policy that Jagex will never give back items within the game.
I am glad you are concerned with your own securites, yet not any bit of concerned about losing long term players to hackers, cheats, and scams. Way to go.

I NEVER comment on these sort of updates, but i feel now is the time i do. I am very pleased with Jagex here, and me and im sure thousands of other legitimate players in the community are very happy to see this :)
