I support the action, the way the action was done and the reporting of the action. I appreciate that the banned users were only the repeat offenders of the bug exploitation. I appreciate that the one time possible users got a very short rollback. I appreciate the real world lessons that Jagex teaches through RS before players experience them in the real world. I think it's far better to get scammed or banned on RS than to get lose your life savings or you job or other real life consequences for real life actions. I hate the gambling on RS, but that's better than doing it in real life too. So naming the names is an interesting choice. On RS, it's no big deal. But these folks will be identified by the real life friends and family members who know their RS identity. That's going to be harsh. But at the same time, it's better than having friends and family visit you in jail through a pane of glass and a telephone....
As for the bots... you voted for the wildy to come back with free trading. That's where the gp profit is for bots. Get rid of the free trading - you get rid of the bots. I'm sorry RS spent so much on legal fees.

This is completely ridiculous tbh. what part of this IS JAGEX'S FAULT Don't you guys understand. You know who should get banned? its the jagex mod who are responsible for the bug existing in the first place. What ****** says no to free money??? I'm sure if a max cash stack wasn't required for this EVERYONE would have done it. you know what this is??! this i jagex making an example out of a few poor people who have no previous records and are clean players to distract us away from the fact that they fail in preventing bots. IM NOT ASKING JAGEX TO BAN BOTS IM ASKING JAGEX TO STOP BOTS BLOODY WORKING IN WHICH CASE THERE WOULD BE NO BOTS AND SO NOONE NEEDS TO GET BANNED. And to all the idiots saying ahhh those maxed players probably botted, NO THEY DIDN'T. They done every task and every quest in the game can that be botted? they have 120 dung they have 99 slay you people are completely ridiculous. And jagex you FAIL. I think its time you forgive those players roll them back to before the glitch and forget about it since the glitch is inherently YOUR FAULT not theirs. If i knew about this glitch i swear to god i would have done it to get extra money why the hell not? thats human nature, whats not human nature is you jagex so called professionals failing to develop your game bug-free. WE DID NOT ASK FOR THE BUG YOU MESSED UP JAGEX THESE PLAYERS SHOULD NOT BE BANNED.

Sad to hear. I know one of those players from HLF that posts a good bit of times. Im sure it would be terrible to lose a maxed account. I know its from a bug abuse, but thats gotta be harsh.
We need some bot bans though. Comped on Rs3 Dec 2012 |

I just wanna say for the record, my main wastedmonkey was banned as in on the main list of accounts that got banned for trying to glitch out after it was fixed!! I didnt even do anything wrong. I got banned after it was fixed

Good job. You have one hell of a huge mess left to clean up (bots, RWTing gamblers/stakers, etc.), but a bit of credit where it's due doesn't hurt. I'm in full support of harsh punishments and public naming as well; y'all have been going soft on cheaters for a while now. Its nice to see a reversal of that trend, even if it's only momentary.
@Sharq- It's easy. You cheat, you get banned. Sure, the glitch shouldn't be there, and that's a failure on Jagex's fault. But the players decided to cheat, decided to mass duplicate the money, and, in many cases, decided to sell it for real life cash. Their actions warrant banning.

I really think the punishment is WAY over the top.
Please give a temporary ban? And give a warning?
It might be the first time they have been in this situation.
I only think permanent ban is reasonable for players who have done different bugs multiple times.
