Why are people freaking out about them putting rares into the ge? it's no different from the banned players selling them at that price. Although, i'm not sure what happens with the gp received.

I am glad that the hammer got dropped this hard. 2College at least had videos on YouTube essentially bragging about it. The ironic part is that they knew his name from the YouTube account, and previous videos where he didn't block his name out.
This is the fix I was hoping for and am glad that it was swift and severe.

What are your (Jagex's) plans on dealing with the illegitimate gold that was traded through the black-market selling system?
Are you planning on following the path from these bug abusers all the way to the people who purchased their cash?
Removing the wealth from their accounts is only part of the problem as they already released illegitimate gold to the market via real-world trading.
Edit - Additionally, if rare items are placed at market price, it would be possible for them to sit at market price for an extended period of time if market price was above what players are paying. Since market price and the price players pay differs quite frequently, I think it would be best if the partyhats were used to fill existing transactions (if possible).

what the other people said. We rather to get bots banned than bug abusers.
If you guys should go one day with 5 admins to different spots and ban botters and keep hopping worlds it would be already easy.
But i doubt jagex will do that since the botters pay for membership.

I won't disagree that bots have an effect on the economy, and ruin the gameplay for others, but bug abusers that find ways to duplicate cash are far worse, because often times they dupe into the double digit bils, and can then make stuff go up or down in price, because they have that big of an effect on the market. Money dupers probably also get involved in RWT as well.

Also that guy with 600 days played.................No comment.
