Well done Jagex. Now will there be legal action against those people if the rumours are true that they were selling that illicitly gained GP for large amounts of real life money. At the very least there are tax issues here which need to be reported to HRMC.

Would it be possible for Jagex to elaborate on their clever plans to keep these rares in the game?
Does this mean that they will be tossed on the Grand Exchange? Lots of players seem to have questions regarding this, especially those involved on the rares market. More details on this would be appreciated.

I can't stress how happy I am to hear this news. Jagex stepping up and being hard or cheaters goes to show they care enough and will hopefully be a sign of good faith on their position with the looming bot nuke 2.

One year a go the only way Jagex get money was the memberships.
Now Jagex gets money from SoF and Solomon.
Now Jagex cant worry in lossing money by banning bots and lossing incomes from memberships.
Bann the bots, kill all the bots and perm bann them.
I dont care if after a mass bot bann there is only 50k players online.
I want only true players in RS.
I want only players that follow the rules.
Perm bann bots.

Good job and Im 5# crucible. I reported "Rs Completed, 00O0OlI0lIO0 and d4rk_mayhem" but u forget a guy name "confliz_____" hes duped cash in crucible.

Good work, Jagex.
I’m extremely pleased with the outcome of this event. Thank you for keeping us informed on the situation and creating a banned list. I hope that Jagex continues to use the banned list to remind all players* that the rules are still perpetuated, enforced, and that cheating is not tolerated.
I would also like to give a special thanks to Mod Reach and the other Jmods that worked extremely hard to fix the bug and getting the bug abusers' banned as soon as possible, and for also keeping us informed and calmed during the situation.
