Um you buying your 99s from the Grand Exchange is unfair to people who got them legit back in the day. You're buying your success from the Grand Exchange. Go mine all your pure ess for Runecrafting. Go cut all your logs for Fletching and Firemaking.
Go mine all your ore for Smithing. Go get all your bones from monster drops for Prayer.
You SoF haters really can't mock anyone for "buying their success".
It's exactly what you're doing on the Grand Exchange.
Only difference being you're not paying Jagex.

I found myself not at all excited about this. I think the increasing ease of gaining xp is causing a decrease in its value. While I shutter to think what may take its place, it may be necessary to give non-xp incentives to the Squeal of Fortune. I don't personally hate the SoF xp bonuses. I don't like them, but I don't hate them. I am just concerned that these sorts of announcements are becoming so commonplace that it makes the entire game seem stagnant.

I did cut most of my own trees, I still even go out and get my own 2nds for Herblore...The only "high combat" you will see running around like a noob for Mort Myre fungus and Phoenix feathers..I find it enjoyable others obviously don't an that's fine.
Farming doesn't happen by itself and is u*buyable.
I got my smithing cape in 2008 by using my wits prior to that and buying alot of gold ores in Jatizso from the store when it was profitable to do so. I also utilized the blast furnace then and made money on smithing..While I was there I would sometimes set up a cannon and whack Ice Trolls for the Rune items they would drop.
My cooking ha..I bought Karambwan in the jungle store with the sticks (Again back when you could) and made money on cooking...10's of mills at least, I dunno I never really keep track of what I make as money never really mattered to me.
I am an adult with a job that looks at this as one of my Hobbies. I could very easily buy a whole hell of a lot of spins and tokens but as an old guard I still wish for the day when it was about what you could do on your own in this HOBBIE rather than what my real world wealth (Such as it isn't..lol) can buy me here.

Word. Also, less focus please on free 'members-only goodies' and more on new content. You need to support your current user-base instead of replacing and recycling it by making membership look more appealing in the short-term.
