I remember when i started playing runescape over 7 years ago and reading through the rules, there was a section about how real world trading is against the rules in order to keep the game fair and not give players an advantage just for having money in the real world and being able to buy rsgp from sites to get that leg up. Now, many years later, jagex is putting things like sof and solomon into the game. Solomon isn't that big of a deal due to the fact you can not buy an advantage or xp, however this is not the case with the squeal of fortune... its really sad to see jagex giving into this real world trading and allowing wealthy players in the real world gain an unfair advantage by purchasing xp lamps and gp from jagex's squeal of fortune. I have been patient with these updates and have been hoping jagex will do the right thing and get rid of these ways to real world trade through jagex. I would prefir it immensely if jagex would put time and money into fighting the botting problem and the advertising bots at the high trafficked areas such as the ge and such. Instead of putting money into developers coming out with new things to the squeal or the evolution of combat (not the biggest fan of but not what i am arguing about here), hire in game jmods to station at places overrun with bots in every world. Have jmods stationed there 24/7 in every world per muting the advertising bots and locking the bone and ash gathering bots. I am talking about taking an effort to get rid of all the obvious bots (with names like jfpoqsaidf) where it is clear it is not a legit account. Let players see lots of jmods standing around in game and dealing with the bots instead of relying on players to report them and then trying to gather info on weather the bot is truly a bot. I am tired of reporting advertising bots every time i come through the ge as an easy way to ignore and report them only to come back through a few hours later to see them talking agin. Deal with the real issues...
