I'm gonna go ahead and assume these were the true rewards to reaching 200M players but Jagex decided at the last second it would be more profitable to release the rewards in exchange for membership/money.
Good going, because this is an incredibly horrible and money hungry idea.

Well, I have a few comments. First of all, I like the idea of rewarding members for their participation and money; it's only good business. I strongly dislike micro-transactions, though. I will neither now nor ever spend money on SOF, Solomon's or anything like that. I will use my free spins, yes, but I will not buy more. I think it cheapens the feel of the game when players log in and are greeted by a big banner ad for micro-transaction systems.
As to this update, I like everything but the "Choose your fate" thingy. Could that please be explained a bit more clearly?
PS: I rather hope the free xp is given in the form of necklaces or something that requires us to work. Lamps seem a bit too cheap.

CHANCE people... CHANCE to choose your fate. Seems like it might be a SoF option like the 200m.
Not a game changer at all.

I just love seeing 9/10th of the people raging their asses off (as they should) and then 1/10th of the people being 5-year olds happy they only have to buy membeship and not sof spins to get 1m xp. and then a few others thinking wait i dont have to get chaotics yaaaaay, cuz they never worked for anything in this game.
dat part of the rs community that just like internally rots away rs <3
