RS has gone to ****, anyone with a brain can see that. Theyve been such hypocrites about RWT and now this is just a step too far. Ive had this account for over 10 years now and im proud i saw RS turn into an admirable game; now however im equally disgusted at what ive seen it become.
It started with the advertisement campaign on log in, but its got much worse. The past year the developers have just shown to be money driven, they dont care about 'loyalty', to be honest they dont care about veteran players. Theyre making it easier for the newcomers, and unfairly so. All they want is people to see this XP or the OP weapons and think, 'thats gonna save me time', and pay through the nose. Honestly, where does it end? I wouldn't be surprised if they start selling gp on the main homepage.
Its sad, because this game was good. It was good and it had the potential to be great. Now its just getting pathetic, and i think things like this are going to lead to the majority of the RS community moving on to other, perhaps newer MMORPGs. I think the developers know this game is dying, and these updates are just their (annoyingly successful) attempts to squeeze out the last drops of profit.

I renewed my membership on 2nd of august, but 3rd and 4th of august I was free to play. Just posting to check if it counts as free-to-play time, since I already had paid.
EDIT: All is fine. :D
