This is an interesting stance to take against gold sellers. Jagex you yourself are gold sellers that leads to ruining the integrity of your game. Really the only valid solution is to bring back the trade limit. I realize that was a controversial topic but the rs economy was at its highest with it in place.

Keep in mind the courts in UK are swiftly moving in on randomized loot boxes as well. You need to look at your own monetization schemes.

While I agree gold sellers and buyers are a issue it didn't stop you from cashing in on this through bonds.

Very interesting stance, as said above, Jagex is a large gold seller in their own right. Although more reliable and safer, this is gold selling and buying done in the profit of Jagex alone. I'm against RWT, but that means I'm also against Jagex doing it. Removal of bonds for purchase with Real World Money needs to be implemented. Bond's used to be a viable way to renew membership without paying real money but now with their prices skyrocketing (If due to this news or otherwise, it's unclear), the only way to reliably receive them would be to purchase with money. If you take a stance such as this, you need to step away from the corporate hypocrisy and remove Gold Buying and Selling completely from the game, including from your own store.

I would be much more inclined to cheer you on for you stance against RWT, if Jagex was not hiding behind the bond mechanic of "Well, you can use it for so many other things besides selling for gold". This is no excuse and almost everyone who buys them with real money are selling them after.

Hypocrisy has turned you from potential hero to a transparent corporation with greedy intentions. We easily see this façade. Yes you need to make money and we understand that, that is how it works, just don't go around saying you are cracking down on RWT to protect the integrity of the game, you're doing it for money and we all know it.

What I wanted to say has already been said really. Jagex - you are gold sellers. You literally sell gold, but with extra steps. You tarnish your own game. How is RWT any different to what you do?

I've been playing since 2001 and whatever sense of achievement I once had playing this game was lost when Treasure Hunter was created. I never dreamt of having 200m in any skill and now it's become so easy. I can hardly believe I'm on my way to 120 Agility!! And I've barely done any agility. With the lamps, the stars and promotional items like silver hawks, it's become a joke, as has every skill. Why craft a rune when eventually I'll get it with lamps.... that's literally how I plan to do it.

This is why people play Classic. You should just say it how it is - it's a business decision designed to scare people off RWT so they buy their supplies from you directly so that the company profits more.

Now for some constructive criticism. How about you adjust your priorities. Go back to the drawing board and start thinking of new ways to create revenue streams so that you yourself don't have to lower the standards of the game. I'd love a Green Imp pet but instead it's locked behind a Xbox promotion I can't possibly get involved with due to a lack of XBOX or any desire to play on a console for that matter. Charge £3.99 for that and you will have a market for it.

Maybe then, we can respect positive changes like this one.

i think the best thing here is that they are cracking down on 3rd party sites but are going to continue to do the samething themselves via bonds. if you are cracking down on RWT and Duel Arena trading you should also remove the bonds. Just Saying.

I would just like to stop in and say that along with the issues addressed in this news post; there should also be action taken against BEGGING. People will move towards begging and taking advantage of players when these updates start to show and I think that it could be a good move to handle begging and scamming as well. Most beggars are known for having massive amounts of gold that more than likely is being transferred or sold off to gold sites. I was obviously being scammed by someone so I joined their Discord and got in call with them to "play along" and in the end, when he couldn't scam me, he admitted that he scams people to pay his rent and the only reason he was online was because his payment was almost late. He figured he could scam some people to make a few hundred pounds more than likely by selling on gold sites.

The insane number of players with intentions to harm people is alarming within the community. A lot of stuff is happening out of game as well in regards to that but for this topic specifically.. the beggars and scammers need a punishment and active monitoring. “The saddest thing about betrayal is that it never comes from enemies, it comes from those you trust the most.”—

Please Jagex, you've been spewing this same thing for years. Did you copy and paste that from previous announcements?

Would you like me to send you a google search of all the active gold sites selling? Maybe I can assist you along rather at a faster pace than thinking that shutting down 2 will do a thing HAHAHAHAHAHA. We ready to see some real action.

We are all watching this time and if you are lying and rwt isn't really taking down a dramatic notch this game is dead to me and a lot of people. Real tired of getting lied to from you, because it effects our Game Market. Real tired of it. Mr Jagex, do you remember that you said when you added trade limit and destroyed the game one of the previous times that it was because rwt degraded the value of skilling and the other reason was you just cannot stop the fraudulent credit cards. Lie. Lie Lie.

Cthulthu says it 100. It is so obvious. You are running out of Lives for the mass. If we don't see action I think people will just do what ever the hell they want and won't really care what you say.

Lord, at one point you didn't want us to trade between our own accounts if I remember correctly but then I'm sure you realized that position couldn't work when you started Selling gold yourself. Mind blowing that you come up with so many different angles for reasons over the years and forget you said them and wonder why we think all you do is lie and we do not respect you at all. O_o
