I like this decision because like the people who write the wiki mentioned Ads were becoming problematic. The ads would popup over search bars and I would have to reload the sight just to search for something new. Essentially ads were getting in the way of the very function of the website not just being a distraction. I understand the desire to earn revenue however, its just stupid to make the sight nonfunctional in the pursuit of profit.

Furthermore, if you have used the RS Wiki in the last 3 weeks you would understand why they made this decision and how it is necessary. (I almost want to make a YouTube video of the ads because the shenanigans they pulled are ridiculous.

I don't know how you survive the Internet without an adblocker nowadays. I disable it for websites that I feel earned it, but if the ads, or the latest trends to brag about the fact they're using cookies (like the entire rest of the world) , become invasive then adblocker is back on.

Also interesting is that Wikia (apparently now called Fandom) has decided to bother to migrate the RS Wiki to a new domain. Perhaps when Google will now have to reevaluate every page they will notice the duplicate content between the old and new website and hopefully either just lower their ranking or give it to the new website because it is newer (Google likes new things.) The entire world is bragging about cookies and Jagex doesn't even know how to use them.
