this is the WORST update ever....i didn't think an update could be worse than SOF extra spins, but Jagex has proven me wrong. ·

Jagex has recieved so many complaints about the Squeel of Forutne recently. Why? Because you need to spend money in order to get anything half decent from it. So Jagex thought it would be a 'great' idea if they did it again, except cut out the free part. Why Jagex? Why? The SOF was bad enough but at least we actually got something from it. This will recieve a lot of complaints.
I love RS. I just don't love spending huge sums of money. :(

come on Jagex, all you guys care about it seems is money.
"Hey lets give them 200 points to buy a few things" was probably your thought.
hey guys guess what, 80% of everything in the shop is over 200, and 98% of anything good is well beyond 200.
if you're going to put in weapon appearance put it FOR EVERY kind of weapon. 2h, whip, scim, shields, bows, etc.
try to fix this before you start losing a lot of players, also completely off topic, the event from the 200m players: total waste of time on the reward. the bow is epic, but the glasses that do nothing, look stupid, and take too long to get are worthless.

I agree with many in this thread. This update is horrible and stupid and Jagex has lost the true sight of what the game was about. Jagex you can make excuses all you want saying "oh you'll enjoy it, eventually.", yeah when i have a job making 60k a year, oh wait the world economy is in shambles, so yeah i'll never enjoy this BS updates you're putting out.
I used to enjoy RuneScape, played it like it was my life in high school and even now in college I enjoyed it, up until SoF, up until the membership price increases(this doesn't effect me personally, but many others it does), up until this micro transaction bs. These kind of updates make me wish there was a delete button on my account, to wipe it all out and say "f*** you i want my money back!" It's bs like this that makes me want to go play OTHER games not associated with Jagex in any way because you are ruining the fundamental elements of the game. Since godswords were released I saw a huge change in your gaming approach. the next release always has to have something better as a reward thats stronger, and thats how you ****** up the combat triangle. I think everyone was fine back in the day with full dragon, d sq shield and a whip. Hell i miss those days because of simplicities sake.
Jagex, you're reaching a tipping point where you must make a decision. Either buy yourself out from this IVP bs company and listen to players again, or watch the demise of the game you say you love. One thing is for sure though, if you continue on your current path you WILL lose players. I've subbed since late 2006, and for the first time I'm debating canceling my membership and letting my account lay to rest, knowing I'm leaving behind friends that I will miss and they'll miss me.
You HAVE to make a decision, you cannot continue to say you value our opinion and then completely ignore it! You make more then enough money to sustain yourselves. Stop being greedy and start listening to your players before it's to late and were gone.

I know that Jagex will probably never read this comment, it being on the 47th page, but I feel a MORAL OBLIGATION to speak out against this huge pile of BS. I spent most of my time in RS as a free player, and I recently decided to upgrade in order to unlock EVERY FEATURE that was available to anyone.

Not sure if it is the Worst Update Ever. Or just one of the 10 MoneyHungry Worst UpdateS!
If this goes on my December, 15th ending membership will be the last one, don't waste money on this game anymore if there isn't anything new like a new skill wich is much better...
