I wasn't going to comment but geez are reading your post it has summed up everything I am thinking. I used to beg my parents for money to keep playing, then like yourself, grew up, got a job and started paying my own. But now geez....it's more like a chore to pay for these things.
Why can't things stay the same. Andrew and Paul Make a new game. We will come flooding to you!

They were making enough money. Before the investors came Jagex were a multi- million pound making company that started in a backroom.

Their bussiness became more about making money then about making the game more interesting and fun for everyone as a whole. All the people I see defending jagex are people with rares and masks, the ones that have that have jagex so far up their ass and that believe jagex can do no wrong. This game used to be more interesting and fun, in jagex trying to deal with bots and RWT they closed free trade and wildy, making tons of people quit. Then they realized that in order to maintain revenue was to keep the bots and make things for people to buy. These servers have been up for a long time, these servers have been up for a while im sure the cost of them is already taken into consideration, this extra ******** that jagex is making is to (like any bussiness) to make more and more. This game is ruined.

people are quiting because jagex have been making these rediculous updates to gain more money yet they probably have millions coming in a month from runescape,funorb, and other games they have created. the dumb part is that they should of made runecoins also earnable instead of just buyable. people joined runescape cuz is was adicting fun and adventurous. but it now going to seam it is just all about money and who has the best stuff. the worst thing is after the last bot nuke it seams like bots have goten worse.

The game is ruined by one small update that has no effect on you if you choose not to use it? Logic, your argument has none. And no, I don't think that Jagex is infallible. For example, I think the Crucible was a complete waste of time and was dead before the first day ended. They have their issues. I just don't see why people are losing their minds over an optional shop that has absolutely NO effect on gameplay.

I believe that there is a silver lining to this, everybody talks about how jagex is selling out and trying to get more money. I have been hearing about this bot nuke that is supposed to happen, this could be a way for them to make a little extra cash for after the nuke (if it happens). Therefore i think that everyone should chill and wait for this to unfold.
Also if there is already a comment about this, don't get mad at me for repeating, i really don't feel like reading though all 39 pages of essentially the same comment.
