yeah um idrc if other people want to spend money on this stuff but it seems kinda... trashy? idk <.< after buying spins on sof and now this it gives the impression that jagex is desparate for money. If they are actually having financial troubles then i say fine it's alright idc i just won't buy anything but if not it's kinda low. just my two cents... :D

Are you friggin kidding me.... Since we have to buy runecoins in the first place you might as well start selling RSGP! I mean first effigies nerf then you bring sof to make up for it which is pure crap then you bring this? like wtf? I mean its okay if you're doing this to eventually lead up to selling gp in the future but we'll understand if you do it now

This is just pathetic, I've been playing Runescape since 2004 and you guys are really going downhill... are you really this desperate for money that you take away players whom can't get enough money in real life's opportunity to have some of these animations, etc.? I've been a loyal player for a very long time and this just ****** me off, it's pathetic.

Most MMO's have either a monthly membership fee or they are free with microtransactions. I always loved the fact that RuneScape didn't have microtransactions. I was disappointed when the buying of spins on the squeal of fortune was introduced and now I see that it is being taken even further with this update. I can't help but feel like this isn't the same RuneScape I loved for so many years. This is a RuneScape that tries to empty your wallets, and I feel like the focus has shifted from making a great game to making money.

this is not a good idea at all. i remember jagex pretty much saying that it does not want to put in micro-transactions into the game because they dont want other players to achieve high levels or attain high status/popularity simply because they have the disposable income to simply buy their they way into it. Admittingly this "shop" sell purely cosmetic items, however it is the original principle that jagex has stated that this "shop" goes against. (this is actually the second time but i will not beat a dead horse and mention the whole debacle over SOF) It clearly shows that Insight Venture Partners the majority stake holder in jagex is turning jagex into a money grubbing company that merely wants to use this MMO to make money through micro-transactions rather than actually adding anything substantial to the game itself.
i can actually compare jagex and insight in this context to EA publishing and bioware. EA which was voted as the WORST company in 2011 essentially butchered Bioware in order to use its name to sell games, bioware itself since its acquisition has made more and more games that are sub par.
im pretty sure that this little post wont change anything seeing as jagex didnt even listen to its members when it released SOF and merely changed their own rules about RWT in order to suit themselves (which is mildly ironic since they are trying to make Player mods focused towards the RS community.) But i feel that i should at least state my opinion i mean thats what this thread is all about am i right?
