think the problem i have with this isn't so much the microtransaction but the fact that your asking for microtransastions on top of the sub fee further more inless the loyalty shop gets filled with the same items as an alternate means of obtaining them it makes it feel pointless to have the shop in the 1st place seeing as support will now go to the microtransaction/the quality won't be nearly as good if you insist of haveing these transactions make sure there is alternate means to obtain these items vanity or not other games are able to get away with vanity microtransactions because they where free to play to start with and there for are much more sucsessful with there transactions and feel more inclined to throw some money at it every now and then

>"I already pay x amount of money i don't want to pay more!" Just don't pay then. You don't have to, this store doesn't give any players an advantage, there are people who want this stuff and are happy to pay for it, im not one of those people but there is absolutely no point at all in raging UNTIL they decide to put experience in this store, so IF they ever do that then you can all rage but until then you just sound like immature rambling children.

Just knowing that you have to pay extra to unlock a piece of content that you can't achieve by playing the game in a "normal" way is just unmoral in my opinion, Jagex changed into money hungry wh*res (sorry for my language, but thats just the way it is, selling your morals for money). I enjoyed playing Runescape the past 5 years, but it has come to an end now. The combat bèta sucks and so does this update. I miss the old Runescape. I started playing because the combat physics where so simple, it wasn't buttonmashing at all and all the items i desired where achievable without paying hard earned real life pennies. That all just changed, sad to see the game I played through my youth die like this.

Although Jagex will never see this message, I have to do my part.
Jagex, you're going the wrong way. You've put so much energy into trying to recruit new members that you've completely neglected the old ones. It's a basic fact of business that you should do your very best to keep your old ones so you don't have to rely on getting new ones, yet that notion is completely thrown into the trash. The old members are the ones you know have purchased membership in the past, so you know that they're a reliable source of income. When you offend veteran players with the insulting updates that have popped up over the past half year, they quit and income drops - and your solution? Don't get them back. Don't listen to them. Instead, boost income by adding features that players need to buy, further alienating the veterans, and further depleting the player base.
The Gowers made this game successful by listening to their players and making them happy. No doubt you've heard of the game League of Legends. That game has become wildly popular over the past couple of years, and - surprise surprise - they make a phenomenal effort to listen and respect their players. The stench of greed in this game is driving away players, and your solution is to be more greedy in an attempt to make up the lost amount. Runescape is quickly on its way to becoming a thing of the past if that continues.
Frankly, I've been a player of this game longer than most of the developers have been a part of Jagex (2003). I know what makes this game successful - and it isn't fancy graphics or microtransactions. There are two roads to take from here: one leaders to success, the other failure. Make your choice.

Just another form of RWT. Players are NOT allowed to pay real cash for gold or items. They get banned for that. But, Jagex seems to think it's okay to promote it because it BENEFITS THEM! Really Jagex? If I wanted to continue to pay for upgrades, updates and items, I'd play W.O.W. But, I don't want that. I enjoy the diversity in skilling that RS has to offer. I will NOT give in to these RWT trading schemes you continue to add. I'm thinking that a lot if not most of us veterans won't give in to it. Although my avatar says I've been a member since 2010, it is inaccurate. I have been a member since 2004. But, I had to take some time of when I was in the hospital. So, Jagex doesn't see fit to include all those previous years. {{SIGH}}}

I am here to say this: this update is a useless money-grubbing evil thing to do to loyal players.
Read the promises Jagex made in the beginning compared to now
If you won't go back at least have the nerve to stand up and say that you don't care about what was said.

I'm a p2p... I don't need to add more money into this game by buying in-game items by the new rune coins lol. First time in a long time I'm agreeing with ranters against something...

Nobody wants to spend their hard-earned money on your virtual crap.
Please stop trying to sqeeze us dry.
I have been a member of runescape for a long time, a PAYING member.
As such, i should have access to all aspects of runescape.
The sof was bad enough, now this?
Thanks for ruining the game I've played for so long.
