Obviously over the last 8 years of grievances the true message that jagex received was money. And after profiting 75m, they decided to raise prices. Is it the end of the world? No. is it the last straw—the last brick in the wall. Possibly.
Those with complaints and those who are fanboys prove nothing to each other. But this is a time for assessment and evaluation.

except hongtou hasnt been jagex's parent company since 2016, and seeing how jagex's employee numbers have only dropped since first being bought by the chinese in early 2016* its unlikely they are going to get more employees since they had enough money to keep the ones they got rid of. also the "avg price for membership for games" is irrelevant for said thing im discussing which is jagex almost certainly lying about WHY their raising prices, if they just straight up said "were raising prices cuz we want money/our chinese overlords do" i prob wouldnt have really posted anything on this threat.
furthermore if u go to account then billing support you can find the price increase for keys/runecoins as well which starts at a dollar for the basic ones (15 keys/200runecoins)
however what they didnt mention which is in the billing support price increase area is that runemetrics will be increase from $3 to $7.
which is kinda retarded as it will probably result in the few users who do use runemetrics to drop it.
Jagex is not alone among Cambridge technology companies in needing more staff but its numbers are quite striking.
The company currently employs 320 and anticipates growing that number to 400 this year.
“If I could wave my magic wand, I would add at least 100,” says Phi (Jagex CEO Manfred)l. “Realistically, in terms of the intake we could find and handle, we could probably add 70-80. And there’s more growth beyond that.

not really u addressed one relatively minor point that u brought up in the first place, which also still doesnt make me any wrong as they're employee numbers did indeed drop since being obtained by chinese companys and have not risen since years later, though regardless again its more of a wait and see and a rather minor point.
As to the responses to the grievances being “adapt or quit” or “if you don’t like this game just quit”, this is sealing your own fate. You of course would not say it if you believed it would actually happen.
Money talks and bullshit walks.
That's a sweeping generalization. I am ecstatic over this increase.. BECAUSE I believe some of the people complaining about it (and some who haven't posted on the topic) WILL actually 'walk'.
There's another old adage from roughly the same era as "money talks and bullshit walks".

did you read the 2 posts prior to that one? it was more of a conclusion.
by money talks, bullshit walks--i meant that no words in the forums matter. only their revenue. so complaining and then spending more money only shows that money talks and bullshit walks.
as far as putting money where my mouth is. the evaluation is exactly as i stated and bond prices will determine whether i am only "working for jagex" or if i am building my character in the rpg.

"im glad jagex is charging me more and likely lying about the reason why because i hope they will lose customers who are upset with said increase"
seems like a rather poor mindset especially when you want jagex to be successful
You've clearly misunderstood what I stated. But since you appear so certain of it, I'll leave ya to it.

are you stating that if enough people walk that the game goes bankrupt, that you will be ecstatic? the game actually ending is what i was cautioning, to be careful what you wish for.

Even as a premier club member this is extremely frustrating as there is already SO MUCH microtransactions and weekly TH promotions that this just feels extremely gross and greedy on Jagex's part. I think $10/m is more than fair. Honestly I think it should be about $8 or so like it was but after this announcement I will not be renewing my premier or membership. Extremely disappointed in Jagex. This is probably because that Chinese company bought them out and demands a return on their investment.

Jagex was sold to its current Chinese owner in July 2016, it hasn't been years at all. Jagex's empolyees count hasn't "dropped" since the acquisition. Please show official data to support your claim.
And a 25% increase in employee count won't come cheap at all. It is hardly a minor point.
