all i want from jagex right now aside from the bank update is to be able to change the font size of my chat box... this is the only mmo i've every played where you cant change the chat box font size. so frustrating. i have trouble reading it with anything above a 720p monitor. makes talking with the clan a lot harder

I'm very happy about the latest changes to the chatbox: however, one thing I'm still impatient for. Leave chat/Join chat is one of the most-used options for the Friends Chat, so that still needs to be added.

The drop down menu for the chat filters is flawed. If you have your chat box against the right side of your screen the menu box also pushes right into the ether and you are unable to use it, this was the case in both the spread out layout and the condensed funnel chat options.
It would be better if it pushed left into you chat box at the top, This will cover a little bit of the top of their chat but i think that is an acceptable loss.

The skill outfits being obtainable through minigames sounds great! Hope to get to try those soon!

As for the chatbox, I don't notice much of a change other than the font is hardly readable now. Like someone else said, an option to change the font size would be a great help. Either that, or just return to how it was before changes were made 'cuz I believe a great number of players were happy with how it had been. Thank you!

Me too. I have requested it multiple times especially for older players

Nowdays i use a laptop so this has been an increasing annoyance in spite of spending time fiddling with the colours for chat to try and help read the font.

I have just invested in a new pair of reading glasses but still find it difficult.

Its got to the stage I have just given up chatting as friends think I am ignoring them so I am logging in less and less these days and only do stuff I want to that don't involve chat, which is a shame as chatting to friends all over the world was one of the things I really enjoyed while playing . It means I tend to solo everything instead of being part of a team cos i just can't read half the chat.

So I am turning more and more to other games where font isn't a problem or where I can use voice chat with friends and family which has pleased my eldest grand daughter greatly as it means she can play this other game on line with Nana and Granddad since my husband has started playing that game too.


I have read that it is a major thing for the mod team to add font functionality and they have been looking at it. Just hope it does get added before I lose interest in the Runescape completely.

this doesn't sound good that the chat box is more unreadable as I already couldn't read it. Will have to wait to log in this evening to check.

Hope it fixes how my emote icon keeps disappearing from the chat screen. I seldom use emotes but never can find the thing when I am trying to show my family an emote while they look over my shoulder, so never am sure how long it has disappeared for lol and can't find a setting to restore it.

A lot of good updates from both the main team and the ninja team. Sad that the team caved to the Redditors on the interface issue, but oh well. I like this compromise. Especially thanks for adding the skilling outfits to in-game minigames. Felt lame for them to still be TH exclusive. Cheers! If I could, I would buy you guys a round of Dwarven Stout. ;)
