Ice Crush, I believe that these here " The cape is counted towards the creation date of your account, not how long you've been a member" are the same thing. The length of time you've had an account since it tracks back to the day your account was created. But those who have been playing for 10 years who aint members should still be able to get it because they've played that long too.

I tried buying the cape from Hans but said I would "Defiantly have it within a year"??
I know I was playing when the Lord of the Rings- The fellowship of the ring came out, and started playing a little after Halo first came out on November 15, 2001. Only two games I have ever stuck with.
I have suggested Gilded Armor, And then the Metal dragons because of a poster I had seen at my local walmart (who would've thought that would happen?)
I have always used a date from the spring of 2002 to recover my account, and that was when JMods would ask for more information.
I remember playing WAY before the introduction to the Runescape 2 beta, and even playing the beta.
So would you guys please look into it? I know when I created my account, and I feel there is in error on your end. I would appreciate it, and if I'm wrong then I am wrong I will live with it. I appreciate the help

And what about all of us 10 year players who are now F2P? For the majority of my accounts ten year existence I've been a paying member, however I guess since I haven't been a member since January of this year I'm un-loyal and the past nine plus years meant nothing really.
MAKE THE CAPE AVAILABLE IN F2P AS WELL JAGEX, or you just end up looking like a hypocrite to those who earned it. Regardless if they're a current member or not.

I can't wait to see fellow players wearing this new cape in-game! I'm 3 years away from being able to receive one myself. It will surely be a reminder of the bad and good days on RuneScape :) .

I know I've been playing for 10 years, and luckily enough I have the date of my recovery questions being set to prove it...
There must be some way to avoid me having to wait another 254 days, when I technically could have had this cape for over a quarter of this year.
