I think there should definatly be a 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9,11,12,13 and 14 year veteran cape too, so people can know how old your account is... A 14 one will prove you're a legend of runescape, a 1 will be quitte an achievement for newbies, I own a 5 one by myself and I'm quitte proud, but it wil take me another 1610 days until I have a 10 year one. That's why a 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9,11,12,13 and 14 year veteran cape will show other players your loyalty to runescape.

I'm unhappy that it's a members only achievement cape. In reality, a free-to-play player may have a much harder time maintaining loyalty to Runescape. One reason being that there is so little content (maybe enough for a three years, but not ten). In addition, nonmembers tolerate the constant onslaught of inaccessible members features in "their" worlds and area. It's not cool that this cape is a celebration of Runescape's history, but also an insult to it. After all, it used to be "Runescape, a free MMORPG with optional membership benefits". Now it seems to be "Runescape, the ultimate pay-to-play experience (oh, and we have a demo, by the way)."
In conclusion: shame.

Awesome, thanks for the cool cape, it's a great addition to the game. :)
Just to clarify on some things:
- The cape is counted towards the creation date of your account, not how long you've been a member, though you must become a member if you wish to buy the cape.
- The cape is counted towards the account you are trying to buy it with, not towards how long you've been playing runescape. (Earlier accounts, etc.) (If it was counted that way, I'd have it. :P )

I've been playing runescape when it was first made and called runescape 2 and they still had classic and that was back in 2000 or 2001 something like that but unfortunetly I don't member and probably won't have it anytime soon so ill be getting it when I am member agian
