The only way to stop this sale is to stop giving Jagex our money! Once the Chinese company see sales falling they'll back off, pay for membs though bonds bought in-game etc. I refuse to put any more into this until I know facts... NOT "we hope", "we think" and the "I doubts" we seem to be getting off Jagex staff who know nothing about what's going on themselves.

That's not how this works. Jagex are not the ones that are selling themselves - IVP, the company that holds Jagex` shares has put Jagex on sale and Chinese see the opportunity to enter the western market with the help of Jagex.

That's not how this works. Jagex are not the ones that are selling themselves - IVP, the company that holds Jagex` shares has put Jagex on sale and Chinese see the opportunity to enter the western market with the help of Jagex. No, it's the other way around. IVP and the other investors in Jagex were not looking for buyers, they were approached by the Shandong Hongda Mining Co. who made an offer on purchasing Jagex.

Will this affect the levels of (or add) MTX in the games?

Simply put, no. Our approach to how we charge for the games is based on what we feel is right for each of them and that would stay the same should the acquisition happen. We don’t plan for any significant changes on this front.

Not holding my breath on this issue. yeah jagex is good at saying they're not going to do something and then do it anyway. it's just the way they roll lol

If the Chinese take over then everyone at Jagex will have no say whatsoever in changes so anything we're being told will be for nought.

Not a public matter?!

I've invested 13 years of my life every single day after work to achieve what I have across 12+ accounts all with 99s. I've worked hard to reclaim my accounts back from hackers at least once every 5 years. Even got all 99-120s and a few 200m on my main. Endured multiple years banned awaiting a rule change so clans are allowed to own websites to finally place a successful appeal.

Pretty sure we as you ongoing investors/customers deserve to know if the game is taking a turn for the worst or if we can trust no gold farming, gold selling (beyond bonds), and macroing will never be permitted in the game. Regardless whom you new found "investors" may be.
