I hope with the increase in revenue due to the acquisition, you guys ROLL BACK on Micro Transactions (TH)

This game has been going downhill in terms of skills giving it's players a sense of accomplishment since 2012.

I understand that the reduction in your player-base lead to this, but the most recent TH promotions are just insane.

Because the sellers intentions for the game are no longer important once ownership is passed over. And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

Jagex hasn't been financially up to what it once was in a long time (if the numbers floating around are true).
Jagex has just posted it's most successful year - ever! I won't disclose or discuss financial information, but we have had a sensational year, and I understand exactly why potential investors are knocking on our door!

I really don't understand how this could be the most successful year. The profit raised because of the massive mtx transactions. With all the BXP leveling has become 'not special'. 99's are now super easy. everyone is going for 120 and 200m xp. .
It's a real fun destroyer in my opinion. With all the promo's you are somehow forces to buy spins now and then. doesn't Mather if you use IRL money or bonds. It's big profit for RS, even though the game isn't as big as it was few years ago.

I do get the strategy, People level up faster, they buy spins... and they won't give up as much. it's a strategy off course.. And almost all games have MTX these days.
I really hope for the best for this game. w'll see if the deal makes it.

Am i the only person whose excited about the acquisition? Change can be good, so many of you are focusing on all the bad things that could go wrong without seeing the potential good.

I think people are of the mindset that the chances of this acquistion being a positive thing is far more unlikely than the chances of this acquisition being a negative thing.

I mean at best, it is 'business as usual', like they say, but keep in mind that this is pretty much saying 'at best the result will be neutral'. It's not exactly something that warms the heart. And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

True, but look at what Mod Balance said. they had their best financial year... EVER.
For most of the elder players the MTX removes the feeling of accomplishment. Indeed, 99's are worthless. But don't forget it's a company they want to make a lot of profit. it's not charity. and though most of us don't like it we are stil playing aren't we? and though I hate MTX I already spent money on it. Even if I Hate it... In the end not using MTX feels like a disadvantage .
