Basically you have no idea what will come from this either and all of our initial fears are even more valid than before.
I'm surprised no one else has really picked up on the extreme vagueness of the wording. He's saying everything you want to hear with such vague conditions in front of them that anything he says after it doesn't really matter.
He could say "We think they'll remove MTX all together" and people would just focus on the removal of MTX part without actually seeing it's true context.

I think Most of feel we would rather not china buy this franchise. I know people are feeling that way and I said it. I didn't read all 37 pages of post so apologize in advance if someone stated so already.
We don't feel comfortable with it and I know I am not alone with that feeling. However, what we think doesn't matter. The bottom line is Money. Customer satisfaction has gone out the window with soooooooooo many companies and we are still lucky that to some degree our opinions count. It should! without players, there is no business. But Jagex did care about its vet players as well. meaning, they cared for the customers they have had all along.
I don't know. Just feeling a bit sad about this and to China??
I'm surprised no one else has really picked up on the extreme vagueness of the wording.
Trust me mate, I picked up on that a looooooong time ago.

It is a bit interesting that Shandong Hongda Mining has announced to the media that it has fully acquired Jagex & has signed a share purchase agreement with all of the shareholders (meaning that the purchase of Jagex by Shandong Hongda Mining is a done deal).
It is doubtful that Shandong Hongda Mining would have announced the full acquisition of Jagex publicly if it was not a done deal.
It is understandable why Jagex is soft pedaling the sale of the company to a Chinese firm though.
As most long term customers will recall Jagex has publicly pointed their finger at China over the years as the hotspot for all of their troubles with bots, goldselling & hacking, (which btw, also appeared to be the very reason given by Jagex in the past as to why Jagex hasn't entered into the Asia market prior to this sale.)
Tbh, (& my bad), all I could think of when I read the articles via the media regarding the sale of Jagex to a Chinese firm was that I was glad that MMG had the foresight to institute in-game bonds as alternative method of payment since using in-game bonds has allowed all of my personal billing information to fall out of date with Jagex.

Well its not a finished deal yet. So they cant even say that its done for sure. Not to mention how this player base treats any publication. "*2* is against the spirit of the game -2001" and they bring it up again 10-13 years later as if its still relevant.
So J mods have every reason to be vague in this case.
Shandong Hongda Mining Co Ltd announced on Monday that Shanghai Hongtou Network Technology Co has signed a Share Purchase Agreement with all shareholders of the UK gaming company Jagex Ltd to acquire a 100% stake in the latter for up to $300m in cash.
Shandong Hongda hopes this acquisition will diversify its business operations and bolster its profitability. This investment is expected to bring Shandong Hongda a RMB50m (*7.7m) return on investment.
Jagex Ltd is UK’s biggest game developer and distributor and reported a net profit of £23.7m in 2015. The most popular game developed by Jagex, RuneScape, holds the Guinness World Record for “biggest multi-player online role playing game”, and has generated *725m in revenue over the past ten years.

Share Purchase Agreement Definition:
