I don't know.
With the company owning Jagex, they might actually look to close the businesses they're making a loss in.

Keeping the company British would be one of my biggest concerns honestly, for the sake of the staff, and the game's heritage and uniquely British themes and jokes.


If there are various clauses in the contract that benefit the players strongly - in terms of management, direction, micro-transactions, etc, it would be great if they could be made public to reassure the game's players.

A wrong move from a new company could spell disaster.

My questions are:

- How much REAL community interaction will we be allowed if this acquisition is to succeed? We don't want a quick transition where everyone will be lied and deceived.

- Will you be providing more information on the goals and direction this new acquisition will hold, if successful?

- How will this affect the integrity of RuneScape, that it doesn't become a "buyable" major MTX game? Old forum user.

What integrity? The game stopped having intergrity in 2012.

Rod doesn't have any shares, its you know who who has the power and you know they would do anything for money.

The company is Shangdong Hongda Mining Co. A simple Google search will tell you that. They're an iron mining company suffering huge losses, and is trying to branch out to different areas.

the only thing that scares me is that ive seen chinese games and i know that in china Pay2Win is often encouraged as a a gameplay model. Im afraid at what kind of influence this could have on TH and MTX which is already quite strong as an ingame source of exp.

Thats not who I was talking about. I was referring to the current major shareholder, who we can't say on the forums as their name is muted.
