If you take a look at the statement above, you'll notice that the company have approached our investors with an offer and the process is just starting. At this stage, we know that this is business as usual for us, but it wouldn't be right to speculate at this stage.

I see, just naturally curious tbh, mainly the whole TH side of the MTX(I'm fine with cosmetic-only solomons) -

I read that the Chinese firm is a mining company, which is making a loss. If it continues to make a loss I imagine it will probably try to squeeze every last drop of revenue out of this game, meaning more MTX.

Well it couldn't be worse than the path IVP has been taking us down. Hopefully certain staff are replaced if it happens.

I hope they actually do take over, make a version of the game for China under the standards acceptable in Asia where mtx are allowed to be rampant and make bank. That bank might allow for more devs for our version of the game. We could use an extra retention team, a few graphics artists and some writers.

Honestly I'd love them to make enough money to fund a from scratch version of the game to bring it into the modern world but I have a feeling that is too much.

That last paragraph, Zeah, does that mean RS3 are getting Zeah? Or purely OSRS development?

Well, at least if this kills RS, we can't say it was a boring way to go.

I really don't think this is a good idea. Not that I think the current shareholders are even good for the game, but perhaps the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know...
