I have no idea if Jagex is making fixes on the fly but it's actually running at a playable speed for me now and my computer is old. I can't explain it it just seemed to start running smoother today.

Mini-Map

I do not like the colors of the mini-map --- everything just looks like a jumbled up mess to me when I look at it. I love the fact that I can make it larger or smaller, but the colors and textures are just atrocious in my humble opinion.

My computer is about 3 years old with a dedicated graphics card. I play on low detail most of the time because I experience less lag.

All-in-all, though, I do enjoy the NXT experience. When I first opened it up I was amazed at the detail and shadows.... I do believe it is a step in the right direction.

While I was playing on NXT it froze, and I had to reboot. Upon rebooting my MacAfee virus scanning turned off. After numerous attempts to restart it, it will not start. I have several generic viruses now on my computer, I was not running anything else at this time. I'm pretty upset and am working fixing this. Any Developers or Jagex reps, if you can assist, that'd be helpful.

Here is another -- I sure hope I'm putting these in the right place.

Received an Ancient Effigy - tried to open it in Prifddinas - screen went black except for a gold box with an arrow (like you would see at the bottom of an NPC chat that would move to the next part of the conversation). Had to click someplace to move and then everything showed back up. Tried multiple times and it happened the same every time.

I have the client, it seems to work except that it won't actually log in to the game :@

I also don't like having PlayTV turn on without my permission and hiding as a background process that I can only disable through Task Manager.

OK this is a bug that I have been able to reproduce accurately. Whenever I change a setting in the graphics menu UI the game mutes all sounds and I have to go to the audio tab and tick all the bars back on and up. Also Certain objects like polygons, models and icons are black. for example sharks consistently appear as plain pure black in my inventory and the "statue" Sliske has at the G.E. is all black except for the mask face and the faction symbols. Other random things appear black at times like some sections of the ports dragon portal and spots/icons on the mini map. And even on minimum settings this is all consistent including very frustrating lag. This confuses me because I can play the normal client on high settings perfectly no problem. So how is NXT on minimum settings run not just worse but so much worse than the normal client on high?

The moving shadows as I ran to Catherby farming patch freaked me out a little the first time, my instincts told me the trees were falling over onto me. Also, my fear of heights kicked in at the top of Armadyl's tower! The grass in my POH needs toning down a little it now looks plastic/toxic.
Why can't I be different and original, like everybody else?

It does now work with the old account guardian. This method of protection should be deprecated it is not going to be supported. It reduced all of my audio settings to zero when it optimized my video. I just thought there was an audio compatibility issue. Eventually, I figured it out. The minimap does not display as much detail in dungeoneering. Makes it harder to keep track of doors. Otherwise, it is a genuine graphical improvement. Much brighter. Better detail. The distance visibility is way better. A bit of tweaking still required, but a fine effort overall.
