Oh come on people, did you really read the original post? Jagex have not made this game only helped with the lore and stuff.

HyperHippo have made the game, much like when an author has a book made into a film, he may have certain input into ideas and such but he doesn't direct or produce or make the film himself (it happens rarely but is not normal ).
Therefore, Jagex have no say in how we can play it, it's not their baby. Ask HyerHippo instead.


I am intrigued with the idea so will take a look at it when released. it feels that it could be one step closer to RS being multi-platform one day. Jagex have never said never, just that it would be a hard thing to do right now (with current technology, maybe)

I can see a day when RS is played on tablets, may take a while longer for it to appear on smartphones. Logistics alone would be a nightmare with today's tech.

Interesting would like to give this a go however, Android and iOS being covered, what does it mean for Windows Phones?

No, it's not our game to make promises for; HyperHippo are the developer and publisher of this game. What I was saying is, if you play games like this (like AdVenture Capitalist) you'll see it's not so bad at all!

So what does Jagex have in this if HH is in control of both dev and publish?

Well alright, least you was able to answer some points.

RuneScape is our game and so we have loads of input to the game, but it is being developed by Hyper Hippo. Think of us as a team on this one!

It's a good move.
Jagex mostly have the Runescape franchise to build on - pretty good place to start with all the established characters and lore.

Spreading out into other genres reminds people you're not a 1-trick pony, but also pulls in more people to the Runescape universe as it were.

It also lets people take Runescape out with them to an extent, which could potentially provide free advertising.

Seems like a pretty solid game plan.

Will this have any affect on RuneScape?
I didn't quite understand based on reading it. Will the rewards be completely separate from RuneScape or will they crossover? I would play just for the lore.

Arcanists would be absolutely HUGE if you brought it to android/ios.
It is an amazingly fun game and I would actually play it if it was on android/ios.
As long as that chat feature was removed... apps with chat die horrible deaths.
