Have you played something like AdVenture Capitalist? It's another game they make. I play that game (too much) and it's pretty crazy - but the MTX only comes into it if you want to get ahead for your own benefit. There aren't any hiscores to compete on, there's nothing behind paywalls, it's just pay if you want to make your game go faster.

There is a huge, 'uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge, difference between using an app like remote desktop (which by the way isn't you actually playing rs on your phone, but only using your phone as a controller) and actually putting runescape onto a phone itself. Even with remote desktop the most people do is usually afk skills or maybe very safe combat.

As much as i hate MTX, this is a bit interesting... Just bothers me sometimes :/ -

Since the game will be released first via steam, will the progression be transferable once the game is realased on other devices? Or would we have to begin from scratch again? Is there a choice to link the account to our play store/ Apple accounts or can we have accounts through the game that will save the progress and be logged onto with any of the devices?

Still unrealistic for other content. You also pretty much said why Jagex shouldn't invest any time into it, people already use teamviewer for things such as seren stones. Content that requires more effort is unrealistic and simple, afk content is already possible. Making a mobile RS version would be the biggest dev time waste ever I'm a horrible human bean.
