Last couple of years, the premier price seemed worth it over my grandfathered $5/month. Figured it'd be the same this year. Took one look at the price. Nope.

Jamflex, be sure to let us know how much you lose on all of us going back to our cheap rates!

Its not worth an extra $30 for me to pay, maybe at an $85 dollar price point I would go for it but I have found myself playing less and less, logging in fewer days, and not getting the benefits of the extra keys which is the only real financial benefit on top of membership. If I renew i'll probably just do the annual membership instead of premiere and buy the promotion cards that I want instead of just getting all promos.

first of all, yes the price went up quite a lot and what we get in return did not change a lot/at all, but think about it:

- everything in life becomes more expensive that's how life is nowadays
- how many of you have netflix, playstation/xbox, play other pc games? those games cost 50-65 euro per game if you buy a new game.
so if you are one of those people that also play other games think about it. if you buy a 60euro game, you'll have to play about 8 months on the game to get the same value out of the runescape gold premium package. Personally I have played quite a few other games but none of them I have played for more than a few months. So i think even 95 euro for 12 months for a game that many of you play almost daily and would cost 8euro a month (which is for many people 1 hour work a month) shouldn't be too much of a problem.

if the price is still too much, you can always buy normal membership a little cheaper but you'll lose out on all the extra xp, do you really want xp waste ?!?!?!

as i'd say to my irl collegues; the amount of time you spend complaining about something you could have used wisely to finish your task/made some money

future tips:
you have a whole year to save for it. put 10 euro aside a month for runescape from now on and buy premium+ even some spins with your leftover cash :)

or you can save 2 bonds in game per month in game and get it for FREE!

love to all the haters <3

I allowed my membership to lapse for a little bit because I planned on buying the Gold package. On my other account, I got the first Gold package and thought it was a good deal and actually saved me a little money, the RuneCoins were a nice bonus... At $108 compared to the normal $89, I can't justify spending that much on a yearly membership for any game. The economies of most countries are really bad right now. While $9.50 a month is a little steep for the average American, shelling out $108 at once for one year of membership on a game is really hard. We do have mortgages and real bills to pay, after all. I'm not sure I'm going to buy this year's Gold package... And now I'm not sure if I'm going to renew my membership at all.

Also guys, I see a lot of people saying how much they dislike this package and swearing up and down they won't buy it, but they ended up buying it. If you're serious then vote with your wallet. That's how business works. If someone releases a product and it does well, they will continue to do more of the same. If it does poorly they will most likely investigate and try to make improvements.

Personally I think Jagex has too many worlds online. Most of them are at 10% capacity or less. It is reasonable to say that probably 25% of those worlds aren't needed and getting rid of them would decrease operating costs. I think that could be a place to start to either reduce membership costs a little or stop them from increasing at this rapid rate without reducing the quality of the game or its content.

As a loyal player, I would like to stay a Gold Member. However, due to previous actions, my current membership is already going on until within 2017.
If I keep buying myself the Golden Membership (including its benefits), this will be going on and result in me having paid almost 1,5 year of membership for naught.
Is there any way to fix this?

Wow.

Jagex you've pushed me into the arms of Skyrim Online with bit of cute financial engineering against the paying customers who've been the most loyal and financially supportive.

All previous comments apply:
*grandfathered "loyalty" rates ridiculed under newly implemented Premier format
*stating Gold Premier Package offers extras when offering less than any other year
*difficult to account for 40% bond increase over last bit except to understand manipulated to exploit those who would otherwise "pay" for Premier Membership with bonds.
*less offered in current Premier bundle than any previous year while rate catapulted upwards
*principle of diminishing returns already adeptly covered - and obviously disregarded

What I find unique is how very little comment is made among those who pay to play RuneScape, which is seriously aging in front of our eyes amid the rise/proliferation of increasingly innovative options, how little comment is made of the disconnect between what is promised and what is delivered by the developers. It is as if either apathy or simple reality has set in.

Done and done. Playing Skyrim Online with a couple met in a RuneScape clan. Ironic, huh? Then again, maybe not.....

Do not get how this is financially viable? I am still on membership of $5 a month. (which was promised forever).
Jagex If you want our money up front, why can't you do a special membership for us long term players still on the $5 rates give us a few bonus's. We have stood by and played for years.
Sure most of us players would be up for paying you up front for a special membership on the rates you promised? With a few little bonus's like the Premier club has.

Too late to lower the price but this could really use more rewards if its actually going to be viable to more of the players Jagex. The new price this year for Premiere is accounting for the new non grandfathered price, then its a discount. But forgot that everyone who does not have a grandfathered rate is a new player or casual player and is not willing to fork out such a high amount.

$107 USD? This is why I'm not subscribing until the Sliske's Endgame quest comes out. In one month, for $10-15 USD, I can complete all the quests and content released.

Same here too, I was waiting for Gold to come out having had Silver this year and liked it, then seen the 30USD price hike on the Gold and was so disappointed with the MQC I am now disillusioned with this game and will simply return twice a year for the Quests.
