Don't you think this is a little unfair?

Not unfair at all... If you pay under current membership prices it's cheaper to pay for whole year. As well as the lump sum of money is better for jagex instead of them having to estimate how many players are going to keep paying. So damn right we get a star and all these benefits

A quick question about the price.

The price is a set amount based on the package, but I, and others, end up paying more for membership than others. I am currently am locked in at in at the $5.00 a month rate, but will probably end up paying for membership at just under $8.00 because the package membership gives a discount to currently price of membership but doesn't take into account my $5.00 dollars a month rate. I understand I'm paying more for more items (cosmetics, extra daily spin, dwarven instinct aura, etc) but as a long time loyal player I end up paying more for my loyalty.

I was wondering if the packaged deal is going to take into consideration my loyalty and $5.00 a month rate before I'm told I get a discount on membership. Which, to be honest, would just not be true if it doesn't. Heck, I'm fine with paying $5.00 a month and paying for the extras.

All I'm asking is that for those who have a lower rate locked in because of our time and loyalty, is that you would consider us and include the 2 or 3 rate lockins. I'll pay for all the extra stuff in the package deal, but if I have to pay $3.00-4.00 more a month for this membership package I'm not sure I can justify it.

We won't know for sure on this year's prices until the 30th, but each year so far it's been the same price for everybody, regardless of membership/loyalty standing.

I can relate to where you're coming from, though; I'm also grandfathered into the lower membership rates. I buy my membership with bonds, and one of the main reasons I like the VIP membership is for its convenience. I like the simplicity of buying membership outright for the entire year, which is enough for me to justify it for myself. Of course, the extra goodies that come along with it are great, too. :D

I understand why you do this Jagex, it's amazing business practice. But as someone who has been faithful and loyal since 2005 it's unfortunate because it forces me to either double my membership costs for the year or miss out on a lot of cool stuff.

Cheers to 2016 :|

The Premier club is great for people who pay once a year, what about those of us who have been members continuously for 10+ years and pay every month? Some of the bonuses would be nice for the loyal customers.

Been looking forward to this news. However, unsure how keen I am on the Postie Pete pet, mostly because it's a character/NPC that we are familiar with, rather than a new legendary pet for example.

I like the idea of premium membership. I want something that I can pay a bit extra to get those
cosmetics and pets that come from squeel of fortune and such, but without that key buying luck based rat race.

Furthermore I like supporting Runescape with a subscription, not key buying.
I guess I will have to wait and see what this thing is all about. Not keeping my hopes up though.
